Sehkhara

he Sehkhara family are descendants of first settlers in Marn. They are a politically significant family.

The Sehkhara family is small, containing only three members, two of which are dead. Thus, the Sehkhara name is synonymous with Metarie, who is the only heir and only living Descendant of Marn’s establishment. These factors make Metarie a very powerful figure in Marn, although she isn’t aware of how much clout she could wield if she chose to be more active.

Metarie spends her time actively contributing to the health and well-being of the Marnian populace. Not only does she provide medical care at the Hospital, she regularly visits families in the Shanty Town to provide medical care to those unable to visit for regular care. This ‘noblesse oblige’ approach has earned her dislike in some upper circles and gained favor in others. She contributes a portion of her income to Vyaduka charities as these charities support the things she does daily. She is also an active contributor to the Guard's retirement fund and Disabled Veteran's fund.

Metarie attends required First Family events. Because of her age, she knows at least three generations of many families. Her work ethic tends to keep her social life limited to the required events. Otherwise, she is home, working in her garden. She is generally kind and polite to most, seeing individuals before she sees people as groups. She dislikes racism and bullying. She will stand up to someone even if it means she will be harmed in defense of those weaker than the bully, or unable to defend themselves. The Katonas are not Metarie supporters, nor are the Markus’. Metarie is not a fan of the current Judge Moryldar and privately has doubts about the way things are being run.
