Physical Description:
Kitty has black hair and her eyes are black too. She has abnormally (for her age) but proportionately developed breasts and her body has a menstural cycle, but she is still mentally six years old. Kitty is a cat shifter and this is the reason why her body has developed abnormally early for a human. As a cat she has been grown up for years, and is a sleek, agile animal with soft black fur and dark eyes.
Possessions:
None. Kitty doesn't own anything. She feels no need of owning things. She wears her clothes because she has been told to do so and other people expect it. But she doesn't think of her clothes as possessions. To her they aren't necessary.
Powers or Strengths:
- Telepahty. She is abnormally eloquent (almost adultlike) for her age. People can find it more than a little surprising when the shabby little girl starts to speak to them like she was an adult woman with a well developed vocabulary and language, in particular when she starts to speak about exactly the things they find important in a situation. This high verbal skill is a consequence of telepathy. Kitty is pretty good at tapping into the thoughts of older people around her and use their reasonings and phrasings. She is also able to communicate with Natasha's demon this way and it can sometimes help her find the words, bordering on speaking through her, using her as a channel. It hasn't occurred to Kitty that this isn't a commonplace thing. She thinks all people can do it.
- Trustworthy for friends.She is reluctant to start friendships or fall in love. But once you have earned her friendship she is very trustworthy and responsible and loyal till the very end. The cat traits, like secrecy, playfulness, patience and stamina are prominent in Kitty's personality. She is abnormally secretive for her age and will never let your secrets - or her own - out to anyone. Kitty is also enduring and optimistic and will always give her best shot at whatever it is that she is doing.
- Instinct.What Kitty lacks in terms of thinking due to her human side only being 6 years old, she makes up for by sure instinct and quick reactions, also in human shape. This has sometimes made for narrow escapes that has saved her from bad things.
- Cat appeal.Kitty appeals to cats. She can communicate with them by using her telepathy.This can make cats hang around and follow her, sometime more than one cat. It can sometimes make cats do things she tells them to do, if this suits them for some reasons. To Kitty this feels like a strength. She can sometimes attract interested tomcats. This too feels like a strength, to Kitty.
- Cat shape.Kitty can take the shape of a cat and in this form she has all the physical abilities and senses a normal cat has. (She also lacks specifically human abilites, like speech.)
- She is prone to absent seizures. The reason for this is that the telepathy is taxing for her brain and makes it consumes energy to sustain itself. Once in a while, it draws a chunk of energy from Kitty. It's not a continous thing. A seizure will often follow in the nearest hours after more massive use of telepathy to speak with people in and eloquent way. Telepathic contact with the demon use to trigger a seizure within the next ½ hour or so. In between the "seizures" Kitty rallies and becomes as usual again. After the seizures she is always ravenous and needs to eat a great deal, in order to regenerate her energy. This can perhaps be seen as a reasonable price for the eloquence she gets in return, or not, depending on which view one would take.
- Cursed. She suffers from a rare magical skin disease that requires frequent care. This is the result of a curse Kitty was given long ago when she was singing in cat form in the vicinity of a cottage where a wizard was trying to sleep. The coven hasn't been able to figure out how it works. There's many speculations. They can only try to treat the symptoms (rashes, scaly skin, plaques and in worst case also small purulent blisters appearing over the whole body) and possibly try to experiment in order to find out more.
- Stray.Kitty doesn't feel like she needs to stay with the group all the time. She likes to move around on her own and tends to sneak away to live her own secretive and mystical life she doesn't share with the others. It can be inconvenient if she has disappeared right when others need to find her, but Kitty doesn't care. She lives with the coven and the one she has been told is her mother, Natasha, but she is also partly wild and lives alone.
- Curiosity.This is one of Kitty's worst personality traits, innocent as it can seem, as it exposes her and others for danger. If something piques her curiosity and intrigues her, Kitty is often unable to resist it. As she can also be cautios and patient it doesn't mean she always jumps straight at what caught her attention, but she will be around, waiting for a chance to pounce and sooner or later she may do so.
- Childish.Eloquent as she may be when she borrows from adult minds or when the demon speaks through her, Kitty herself is only 6 years and her human shape's mind is a child's. She reasons like a child does and acts like a child does. This makes her vulnerable for deceit and manipulation. She is gullible. It can be easy for scheming bad people to take advantage of this and persuade Kitty to bad or foolish things.
Natasha and Kitty were found when the twins were looking for flowers in spring 123. And so they joined the coven. Or more correctly, it was Natasha who joined the coven. Kitty just followed. As Kitty is only 6 years old her story is short and to be honest she doesn't recall so much of it. Her birth name can have been anything, if she even was given a name. It's completely unknown to her where she came from or how she lived when she was younger. She has vague memories of searching for food in refuse heaps though. She can still think of refuse heaps as places to find food and start to dig into them in the hopes of finding something tasty. The others in the coven use to try to stop her from this behavior if they discover it.
The first time she can remember being called by a name was when she was in her cat shape and somebody spoke to her in a soft voice, saying "come Kitty, Kitty". She was given food and a warm place to rest in when she was called by this name. The pleasant memory made her settle for Kitty as her name. Her true name.
Later she met Natasha. Natasha called her Kitty too and this seemed to mean Natasha knew her. Kitty is too small to really know exactly when this was. Natasha has told her she is Kitty's mother. Kitty accepts this, as Natasha is a big girl and seems like an adult to her. Being mentally only 6 years old in her human form, she trust her parent and believes what she is told. This is also the reason she isn't scared of Natasha's demon; Natasha has told Kitty the demon is nice. Kitty hasn't questioned this. And so far nothing has happened that could contradict this, at least not to Kitty's knowledge. Sometimes it helps her speak about tricky things. Kitty likes the demon.
