Cell Block Confessions
Cell Block Confessions
Availability: I think this may be closed now as we have 5 people, but if you have a character that you think will do really well in this thread and bring something new to the table, feel free to leave a post and maybe we can squeeze you in.
Posting Speed: Standard speed, once a day with a 3 day wait unless somebody needs longer. I really don't mind waiting.
Characters Involved: So far we have Talionous Blackthorne, Anther, The Porter, Danal Church, Rorgue, Kori and I'm think that at least one battlemage will have to be involved at one point or another.
Location: In the basement of the Justice Hall building, in cells for those that would be prisoners.
Summary: Tal and the group he was involved with tried to break into Justice Hall so that they could steal a special book from the library. The group was not expecting to face up against the overwhelmingly powerful being that is The Porter, let alone a group of skilled battlemages. The group was rather quickly apprehended and locked within the cells in the basement.
Now, I'm thinking Tal will have some time to reflect on what a bad decision it was to break into a government building and I would like for there to be somebody he can talk to. So if you want to put in another prisoner so we can swap some stories and regrets, I think we can have for an interesting and frightening lead up to the eventual torture and trial of those who have committed a crime that could very well end with a few deaths.
Other Notes: If you want your character in a Justice Hall cell he/she would most likely be there for committing some kind of magical crime. Your crime need not be as serious as breaking into a government building, in fact pretty much any kind of unpermitted magic use can wind you in a cell.
For those not in cells, you will need to hold a position that will grant you access to the cells, such as a battlemage, a Judge, The Porter, or Bela.

Re: Cell Block Confessions
Would Anther be kept there as well? If so, count me in.

Re: Cell Block Confessions
Anther, Tsai, Yyan and Sagath would be there as well, however I don't think they would all be placed together in the same cell. I think Porter and the battlemages would split them up for the most part so as to keep them from trying to make further trouble or deciding as a group what they were going to tell the Judges.
I'll add Anther to the list.

So I was outside moving rocks to make my duck pond and I was thinking about this thread. I was thinking that Porter or the battlemages would have searched any prisoners for any weapons or other objects and like when you get arrested, they would take everything in your pockets. So for those who wish to join the thread, you will at least for the time being be without any personal possessions other than the clothes your character is wearing.

Re: Cell Block Confessions
So yeah, I'm still trying to start this up, any more takers?
I think it would be nice to have somebody who has already been locked up for a bit be involved to make it a bit more depressing and let the characters know that they could very well be locked up for quite some time. It could be an npc if it has to be, but I think it might be more fun if it was another character.

Re: Cell Block Confessions
Actually yes, Church will soon gain a normal looking human appearance(because I've learned him being an undead outwardly wont work for pretty much any storyline here) and his first stop is going to be in Marn. Church has the ability to heal and he has no clue that magic is illegal in Marn, he could very easily end up in this plot.
It would be a great way for Church to experience first-hand just how awful life in the populated world has become.
If you're cool with me joining just let me know and I'll finish up my last couple posts in PAL TAHRENOR.
Thanks!

Re: Cell Block Confessions
Sure. We may want to do a quick edit of your character sheet too if he is to look more human.

Re: Cell Block Confessions
Alright, if that's what we need to do, however, his natural human form will only mask what he really is and it can be taken away if certain events happen. I can give you a more detailed explanation if you need.
Well cool then! Just tell me when I need to be ready, I have about 2 or 3 more posts left on my thread.

Re: Cell Block Confessions
I'm thinking of getting Kori arrested when Errands and Meetings is over. Maybe he can end up there as well.
Through the gates of hell, as we make our way to heaven, through enemy lines, Primo Victoria!
Re: Cell Block Confessions
Rorgue is, of course, being held in Justice Hall, but as he's also being used as a "magic detector" of sorts, he has some (heavily guarded) contact with the outside world, which could be interesting if any of the other prisoners or people from outside manage to find out about it AND get into contact with him. Even guards or other authority figures who might have access to him outside the Hall, if they happened to want him to do something or other for them, could make something happen. What do you think?
Re: Cell Block Confessions
Interesting.
So do you want to post neck in the thread before I go again, Jason and Kori?

Re: Cell Block Confessions
You should go first. I think Kori still has to sort out his thread first (maybe, not sure). I'll post myself in after a post or two from the people currently in the thread, if that's alright. Thank you.
Re: Cell Block Confessions
Having someone from the outside will, I think, keep the plot fresh and allow us some leeway. Otherwise I was wondering how we would work it with four dudes sitting in cages.
