]Rollick (Husband)
Age: Early 50’s
Race: Human
Physical appearance: Grey hair, height on the taller end of average, blue eyes, strong and athletic build, but mobile rather than musclebound. He has a bit of arthritis in his knees and hands, but generally moves with confidence and grace.
General information: Rollick is a fighter by profession, and is a particularly gifted swordsman. He has also mastered the knowledge of when force is and isn’t appropriate, however, and will attempt to seek a peaceful solution to conflicts whenever possible. He is not prone to anger-- in fact he is quite even-tempered-- and he rarely starts fights, though he is quite competent at finishing them. Rollick is understanding and patient, and will show mercy even to enemies when he can.
Rollick is both physically and emotionally strong. He is extremely loyal and devoted, and will be quite brave and self-sacrificing when the situation requires it, though he tries not to invite trouble when the are better options. His nature is not one for regret or second-guessing, and he does not obsess about past problems, so he is remarkably philosophical and good-natured about bad things that happen to him.
Rollick is of average intelligence, but is not particularly educated on subjects other than combat. He makes up for this with a great deal of wisdom and experience, but it is something he is rather self-conscious about, and makes him somewhat shy in conversations with people he doesn’t know well. He is quite friendly, but not talkative when he first meets someone. He also tends to defer to others even when he has better ideas, simply because he assumes they are smarter than he is and that they know better.
He is also concerned about the fact he isn't as young as he used to be, and in his profession that can be a serious liability. Rollick is aware he doesn't move as quickly and easily or have the endurance he did as a younger man. He stays in good shape and is blessed with unusually good health (and having a healer wife doesn't hurt, either,) so despite being older than many other fighters he can generally hold his own, and he picks his battles. Still, this remains a worry for him, and for those who care about him.
Rollick is without any magical ability at all, but generally feels positive about magic users and comfortable around them.
He is very, very loyal to his family, and is quite affectionate toward them. Rollick would do anything necessary to protect those he loves, including sacrifice his own life. He is a kind, decent man, and a good husband and father.

Dash (Daughter)
Age: It has been less than a year since she was created (not born,) but she appears to be a teenager
Race: Human, but with physical anomalies
Physical appearance: Dash is 5'2" and weighs only 86 pounds. This is partly due to her hollow bones, but she is also very small and slight, and due to her genetic programming seems to be incapable of gaining weight no matter how much she eats. Her figure is more that of a child than an adult. She has six fingers and toes per hand and foot; her extra digits are functional but do not provide any advantage over the usual five. Dash has wings with grey feathers. She is capable of flight, but generally keeps her wings folded behind her and walks where she needs to go. She has long auburn hair and green eyes.
General information: Dash is one of Uluki and Rollick's adopted daughters. Dash was not born, but was created by a combination of selective breeding, intentional magical genetic alterations, and an unplanned influx of magic during the time she was formed.
Dash was designed to be the perfect assassin. She can fly, stick to walls with her hands and feet, and is proficient with almost all ranged weapons. One problem, though... those who made her didn't consider the fact that even a person made to be a weapon is still a person. Dash doesn't have the mind or heart of a killer. She does not follow orders well and has no desire to harm anyone. Though she was literally created to be a soldier and had no childhood, having awoken at her current age, all she really wanted was to be part of a family, and to be someone's daughter. The most horrible moment of her life was when she asked her creator, who she considered a father, whether he loved her and her "siblings," and he replied that he cared about them only because they were useful and had been expensive.
Dash decided to run away and, taking her closest "sister" with her, eventually made her way to the town where Uluki and Rollick lived. The couple took them in and welcomed them, treating them as family members and then adopting them permanently. They've tried to keep the girls' origin a secret to prevent those who saw them as property from taking them back, a possibility that remains a concern. Dash and Zee are not seen or treated as weapons, but as beloved daughters.
Dash is thoughtful and intuitive, prone to worry and over-analysis. She is not particularly demonstrative in her affections, but is deeply attached to her new family and glad that they love her regardless of her troubled past.
Zee (Daughter)
Age: It has been less than a year since she was created (not born,) but she appears to be a teenager
Race: Human, but with physical anomalies
Physical appearance: Zee is about 5'8", and very curvy. She has chin-length blond hair and unusual golden-orange eyes. She is quite physically strong. She has small black horns and pointed fangs for canine teeth.
General information: Like Dash, Zee was designed to be a soldier, but while Dash was the assassin, Zee was the muscle. She is powerful in unarmed combat and extremely strong. Those who designed Zee had other plans for her also, though. They also intended to use her for their own pleasure, and thus they created her with her decidedly feminine appearance.
Zee is a simple creature, neither intelligent nor wise. She is quite good hearted and caring, however, and finds a great deal of joy in life. She has always been very devoted to Dash, and now loves her adopted family with the same simple but fierce love.
The family is also concerned about protecting Zee from those who created her, of course. Uluki and Rollick are determined that neither girl will ever be used as a weapon against her will, and that Zee will never suffer the abuse and exploitation that was intended for her. Both girls are happy and safe in their new home, and their adopted parents intend to keep it that way.
Martin (Son)
Age: Almost 1 year
Race: Half-Duskling/Half-Human
Appearance: Blue skin and black hair like his mother's, but blue eyes like his father's (an unusual shade for a Duskling child.) He bears a facial resemblance to both parents.
General information: Martin is Uluki and Rollick's half-Fae biological child. He's a baby. He doesn't really do much. He'll probably develop some sort of magic when he grows up because of Uluki's Duskling genes and the time he spent in her womb with her magic coursing through him, but he has yet to show any signs of such abilities. He's a pretty normal child in spite of his diverse genetic heritage.
