You Done Good

Post by Saruna » Sat Feb 08, 2014 6:21 am

As per Corey's request, here is a thread to show admiration and share recommendations of posts/characters/lines of badassery that you like enough to want to publicly celebrate.

Behave.

I'll start it off by a big well done to Imperial Bitches and Spoiled Dragons. I haven't read the whole thing because derp but what I have read is jolly good fun and a fine example of collaborative writing. Well done Ree, James. :)

I would like to give a shout out to Tov for the starting posts in Birthday Blues because I think it's going to be awesome and Nadejda is great.

I would also like to give props to James for his general fun self in chat

And Kat for being a great mod and always helping both people who have been here longer and new people.
Look at me, I just can't believe what they've done to me. We can never be free, I just want to be free.

Yup, the idea was to start fresh with a new one with new people rather than continue the old one (Corey had seen the old post and wanted to do another one) as there's like you, and frug, and I think Meesh and Ming from the old one and then it's all players who have since left.

I loved Jory's first post in the date thread.

I want to give an honourable mention to Kit and Zina for the thread "The Kitsune's Legacy" and of course your characters involved, I love them.

"It does, doesn't it? They need outsiders to breathe life into their walls but they detest them equally because they are too proud to ask for help. At its heart, Marn is still a fortress," she said, smiling again, "and everyone who wasn't here when they built it should kindly come in with their hands where they can see them, put their money down and, just as kindly, depart again. Somewhere along that chain of reasoning, life happens. So it goes. Puradynes simply believe that the world should be fixed, stable and reliable. But the world knows better."

I think some kudo love is due here as it was very well done!

Long Piao Bai is a very interesting character to begin with, I can't wait to find out more. :) Reveal your tasty secrets to me, strangely attractive dragon man!

Kudos to James for making me laugh.
Sertor stood in front of Mahmoud like a statue, expectantly. Not just like any old statue, mind: more the kind of statue people find a few centuries later in an abandoned temple and say to an uncaring audience 'Oh my, look how unmarked by the passage of time it is. Hey, is that a monocle?' then take laborious drawings of it to boast about over brandy in some adventurers club back in 'the old country'. Except they die of dysentery and never make it home at all. Serves them right, really. Prats.

THIS FUCKING POST.

At first I was like man, it's gonna be really hard to play a character who can't move. I wonder if he'll have enough to really work with? In most cases I, myself, try to avoid too much thought process back to back, as it can often get repetitive and dull. Yet, Corey manages to not only keep me engaged as a reader of what he's writing with this character who is essentially locked in his mind, but as the player writing with him it makes me eager to see what nastiness will come out of this rp. And for a rp I thought was going to be a one-off flutter of nothingness, that really makes me happy. Good job, man.
