Kaleb watched her go, eyes darkening as she shifted. Changers she was lovely... shaking his head, Kaleb stood and turned to walk into the Kitchen, intent on making them a meal. He poked around, mentally noting they'd have to go 'shopping' soon. Well, once Fyra got some more practice under her belt, perhaps it'd happen...

For now, however, he began to heat a frying pan, dragging out eggs and various vegetables from the icebox, humming in a low baritone as he moved.

She heard him move as she reached out with now human hands to slip into human clothing, feeling oddly tall and as though she was compact. Her tongue ran over dull teeth, and she couldn't twitch her ears anymore. Fyra had to admit that there was definitely some pluses about being a ferret-type of creature, and one of them was definitely the flexibility. As she paused, her clothing in place, bodice laced up and hair tumbling around her face, she stared down at her hands for a moment. Can I actually go through with this, and really learn how to steal, to survive? It was one thing to steal a loaf of bread or piece of cheese... but could she actually make herself steal money?

Not having the answer, the young woman followed Kaleb instead, seeing him at the stove and smiling as she sat into a chair, leaning her arms onto the table and her head onto her arms. Her voice was muffled. "I'm never going to rub an animal's fur backwards ever again. I never thought that it would feel so... urg. Like I had pins being shoved in my legs and back." Though she was feeling quite alright now, after the massage that she had received.

Kaleb glaced back, chuckling. "I'm sorry to hear that love. Can you think of any way to improve that, or fix it altogether? He turned back to the stive, listening to her, his mind racing. He needed a heist he could pull off alone, bring Fyra along so she could get an idea of what it was all about... he'd heard rumors of a new and very rich family that had recently moved into town... more than likely they had more than enough to spare.

Fyra sighed, shifting how she sat so that she was looking at Kaleb, her muscles still sore, if not tight. "Well, certainly not by sitting in your pocket. We should make a harness of some sort that I can sit in. Even just a loop of leather would help hooked to your belt for me to sit in would help." The idea was swiftly forming in her mind. "I've no idea how to work with leather though, but cloth just seems flimsy against the claws I've got while shifted."

Kaleb shifted, humming in thought as he worked with the food. Cloth was too flimsy, and to be frank, he had no idea how to work leather himself. Bodices were strong though, built to nip and tuck and straiten... though that required boning. She wouldn't need anything so strong thought... she's just a little rodent in that form, doesn't weigh much. So almost like a make-shift polecat bodice/quiver? He absently flipped the eggs by flicking his wrist, tossing the food in the air and catching it in the pan.

If he made a cylindrical tube and added... wooden boles maybe, it could act as a platform and ouch for her. What would be more useful would be if it could collapse so she could just slip into his pocket and pull it against him. Hinges... a latch... he flipped the eggs again. Button pressed down to collapse, clicks into place... he flips the eggs again. He glanced down at the darkening eggs and tossed them on a plate, passing said plate to Safyra without thinking, sitting down, his eyes staring at blueprints in his mind.

It would have to also be able to suppoty weight, and have a solid attachment - a second belt around his thigh? No that'd move her too much. One at the base, one at the top... top would start at the middle of his belly - around his navel, and the bottom would be around his ass? No, no... too big... he stared down at his waist, mentally picturing the contraption. Two belts crossing, the pouch about as large as a pocket... could look like a coin purse at first glance... when expanded she could hide behind his arm. Now how to make such a thing...

Seeing that he was thinking, rather intensely, Fyra let silence reign, picking at the eggs he had set in front of her and sighing happily. Food was good. Her stomach shifted as it began to digest it already. Her own mind started to think of how she could make a harness of some sort to hold her to Kaleb as a polecat, but when she looked at the young man, his green eyes unfocused but still intense, a small smile tugged at her lips. He had saved her, even when she had run from him. Why had he taken her in though? He was an experienced thief, he had lived that way. That wasn't bad, she supposed but still... most criminals looked out for themselves alone.

His attention snapped down to her, his plans having clicked in his mind. She looked far off, pondering. Kaleb cocked an eyebrow. He moved languidly to stand in front of her, placing his hands on either side of her, catching her eyes with his own. He grinned slowly, almost seductively. "Bishan for your thoughts?"

By the time that Kaleb was in front of her, Fyra still hadn't returned to the present. His voice jerked her back though, and she managed to hold in the startled sound she had almost made. Eyes rolled instead, but she did smile. Cleverly, she spurted "Bishan first, thoughts after." Her tongue slipped out of her mouth to stick out at him, the gesture a childish one. I'm not too old for childish things, though. I only became of age a few years ago! She couldn't help but grin at Kaleb though, and then wondered how old he was. He couldn't be too far off from her age, but he was so self-assured, where she was not, cocky where she was shy. What had made him so different?

Kaleb cocked an eyebrow. Someone was playful... tilting his head, he smiled at her winningly. Something was going on behind those eyes, and he wanted to know just what it was. So, he decided to give her a test.

"If you want it, you'll have to get it... my hands are simply stuck to these walls, ma'am." He said somberly, though his eyes glittered. "No cheating though, can't get it out of the pouch in my pocket. Yes, because you start doubting, there are other caches of bishan on my person - you've just got to see if you can find it... call it looting experience." And a chance to get your hands one me. He thought wickedly to himself, though keeping that behind a mask of entertainment.

She was learning quickly, though he had a feeling, if he made these lessons more like a game (a challenging one) she might even learn faster. Maybe if he added incentives...

"Now... if you can find 3 pouches on me, besides the one in my pocket, I'll take you out shopping. Leave the pick pocketing to me for today, but I want you to watch as a polecat... IF we go." His voice was warm, patient. "Want you to see how my fingers work and my technique. Once you think you've got a decent grasp, we'll practice at home."

Fyra coughed slightly as she giggled. His manner was both charming, and overly flirtatious, almost ridiculous. She was nervous though. Searching him meant touching him. All over. And she couldn't just sneak the pouch from his pocket for the money. She swallowed, and gathered up the small amount of boldness she had been managing to use, and reached out. "Well, let's take the pouch from your pocket just to ensure I don't get my hopes up when I find it." Her fingers slid into the pocket and pulled out the pouch that she had shoved there during practice, and tossed it onto the table.

Shopping would be nice. Fyra wasn't one for being expensive, but they did need more food in their hideout, and she wouldn't object to being turned into a "pet" while in her polecat form. He'd need a leather harness of some sort to pull that off, or a collar. I could insinuate myself into higher-up households that way.... cat burglary.. she cut off the thought quickly, still not willing to let herself go farther down the road of crime than she felt ready for.

Timidly, she reached out to start searching Kaleb, beginning by checking the most obvious hiding places, under his arms, the baggy areas of his clothing. She swallowed though, obviously hesitant, not sure just how to search him. Her touch was soft and fluttered over his body like butterfly wings.

Her touches made him want to squirm. They were light, tickling him, not bloody finding anything. Kaleb bit his lip to hold in a giggle. Was she doing this on purpose? He couldn't stop the squirm as her fingers flitted over his sides.

"Safyra my love, you tickling me is only going to make this more of a pain, because I'm holding still for your benefit." Kaleb rasped out finally, his eyes bright with mirth.

Cheeks flushed bright red at his words, and Fyra swallowed, looking up and blushing all the more when she met his gaze. Her lips quirked up, and her fingers, having frozen by his sides, deliberately tickled him for a moment as she giggled. "I've never exactly done this before!" She firmed her touch though, so that she could actually feel his body under her hands. It's not so different than pickpocketing him. I have to get used to touching people again if I want to survive out here... Part of her shuddered. She was turning criminal.

Her breath caught with the thought, but bullied through it, continuing to search him. Fyra ducked under his arm and slid so that she could stand up rather than be sitting. Her movements were still unsure, but at least she could actually feel if there was something tucked away. As she searched, her mind thought of some of the better places to hide things. Where people wouldn't try to touch usually? Her cheeks went bright. Had he, perhaps, hidden a pouch of bishani there?

Nervous giggles started, and she dropped down, wrapping a hand around his ankle. "Not in your boot, right?"

She was giggling and trying the worst places possible. His boot? Changers no... He chortled himself. "No love, not my boot, I don't care to walk on my bishani." As he watched her fumble for a bit, his own experiences floated to mind. "You're doing better than I did though, 'course you got a better teacher. Mine'd clout me if I fucked up." He snorted. He bent and pulled her up, kissing her to clear her mind.

"Alright, now. If I was a normal, everyday person, I wouldn't want to be bending over, looking obvious, to get my gold, now would I?" After her response, Kaleb winked. "Instead, I'd want to draw less attention. Keep it to... my arms, say, or perhaps my chest? Places where my hands can reach without having to draw attention to myself."

"Don't fuggin' grab where ye dun wanna be grabbed ya fuggin-" "And try to keep it decent if you're not with me, love. People get offended otherwise..." Kaleb smiled as he remembered a flushing redhead and the stinging pain of a cheek slapped when he'd chanced at there being a hidden pouch in her trousers.

Arms and torso then... She blinked, having been silenced and have stunned by his kiss. Her giggles had been stopped though, and she carefully reached out. "But I already searched over your arms." She protested quietly, even as her hands began to feel up one of his arms once more. She blinked in shock as she reached his shoulder though, and the small hidden pouch that resided close to his armpit. It was tight against his skin, underneath his shirt, but could be reached if he slid his hand through the neck of his shirt.

Safyra frowned up at him. And fueled by one success, started on the other arm.

Ahhhhh she found one... He smiled and allowed her to feel up his other arm. Nothing was there, of course, as symmetry didn't make sense in his buisness. There were 3 more hiding on his person - one thin one dangling from his neck, one slipped in his belt under his shirt, and another on his thigh. Honestly he was hoping she'd find the belt one last so she might draw up enough courage to kiss him and spark a small make-out session. He adored kissing her, but he'd sworn to keep things at her pace... Changers it was maddening sometimes though.

"Nice work love, just 2 more." Oooooh this would be fun...
