No prob Kori, working with surprises and the unexpected is part and parcel of rp. I always try to leave most of the mechanics of things open, and no ending is ever going to be guaranteed. Whenever I do plot breakdowns it's a way for me to try to piece things together into something greater, but I'm always open towards someone throwing a wrench into things. For now though, if both parties are okay with it, we can plan on Ryxa checking in on Kori in a few days after his watchers find out he's not doing anything? Assuming, of course, he stays in town. :P

As for the HWHL people, yar, it would have to be them heading back in that direction to find his corpse. Right now they're on the Shim side, out of the woods, so maybe Breda wants to check in on Aura before returning to her residence, and it's on the way that they see his corpse?

Apologies for the wait, been a little busy lately. I'm still reworking some of my plans for Navarre, but I like the idea of her showing up at the hospital and trying to influence them. I'll contact them about a meeting soon.

The doctor is in thread is open to one and all. Work it into your plot lines as you'd like. I imagine Guile and Navarre would be a fascinating interplay to watch.

In that case, I'll bring in Navarre as soon as I read the thread and the character sheets. Hopefully today, tomorrow at the latest. Eager to get in a thread again! xD

>.> My character sheet is in need of a wee bit of updating. Ree has morphed a little since I created her. Foundationally the same, but she does have history within Marn.

About Navarre... I've gotten all confuzzled by the body thieving.

I know she is an elf. Ree probably knew her parents. Maybe even delivered Isyrion. Now that Navarre is in the thread, it occurred to me that might be the case.

Interesting vote, and I agree, but Fay needs to pass out and drool a bit first. Her healing's quick but not that quick x)

What part has you confused? And I like the idea of Ree being the one who delivered Isyrion/knowing her parents. Navarre usually researches her long term vessels thoroughly, but that seems like something she wouldn't have considered important enough to remember. I could see it throwing her off a bit.

Hi there! I just registered today, and I noticed that the New Player Guide post mentioned you were currently seeking characters sympathetic to the government for this plot line. Is this still the case?

My current character concept is a wererat from outside of Thar Shaddin, who traveled to Marn because she heard of their strict religious/legal views on magic. If there's anywhere a cure for lycanthropy can be found, she figures it's somewhere with a vested interest in keeping magic under control. Depending on how I write her backstory, she could join on either side of this conflict. If her experiences in Marn have been mostly positive or at least not horrific, she would sympathize with the government in hopes of finding her cure. If instead she's been met with discrimination and suspicion at every turn, she might well have fallen in with the rebellion.

Assuming you're still seeking characters for this, which side needs a new character the most? And is there anything I should keep in mind while writing up her history?

Yes, this is still the case. So long as Katarina registered her lycanthropy and presumably didn't meet too many super religious puradynes I could see her feeling very loyal to the city. Especially if she had ties to the University and its professors, working with them to seek a cure.

I'd say right now we definitely have more rebellion sympathizers. Though the government is powerful, on a character-to-character basis we're missing opportunities for valuable conflict between ideals.

On the front of need-to-know, Navarre's pamphlets would definitely figure into your character's recent history. There is anti-magical, anti-anything not human sentiment floating around which could cause some deep thinking on the part of your character. Or, alternatively, a run-in with some of those very same "gardeners" could be the start of a thread with your character in it, with the purpose being for her to choose a side.

The only other thing I can think of is that Marn is mostly filled with Puradyne, so it is very likely your character would have had a few run-ins with people whose religious views would mark her out as anathema, but I don't think that would have ruled her time there. Especially if she forged connections with the University.

FYI to Navarre -- don't have that dinner without Ree in attendance! :)

I was wondering about using Amira, when I am finished with her and approved, I would like to discuss the possibility of there being undergroung magic users working for the government?
