Ok. I've been thinking about this for a while and I think that once the intro of our newest characters is firmly cemented that the best way to go for this would be a crew mutiny.
Maybe they are just angry about pay and rations, or the rum is gone, and something sets them off.
Since it's a large chunk of the crew, the captain recruits our party to help fight them off, and frees Ceallach.
Thoughts?

Ko thought it was pirates, that was the only reason other than murder he could think of for the warning bell to ring. But it wasn't. A landmass appeared out of nowhere, so the crew was trying their best to avoid crashing into it. They failed.
