When I made Niabi I didn't really want to give her a name as with her personality and background I didn't see why she would have an actual name. If somebody were to ask her who or what she was she is much more likely to answer with something along the lines of "I am deer," so I figured that if she did have a name it would be more of a description of what she is rather than a real name. So I went looking through Native American names and I came up with Niabi which means deer, girl, female and woman. And my reasoning why she even has a name was that somebody must have at one time called her Niabi and it stuck with her.
Talionous and Kurzainous came from several names being jumbled together and mixed up. Their last name Blackthorne they got from their father, who was a character played by a friend of mine I used to rp with.
Shann or Kaillashann was a random name I came up with about ten years ago and I have used it as my go to name online when Meesh has been taken. About four years ago I actually wrote up Shann as a character and since then he's grown a personality of his own that doesn't always get along with others.
Where'd your name come from?

Re: Where'd your name come from?
Interesting topic... Anyways!
Fayane Tyme: Fay's name was made up, completely out of the blue. Originally she was a healing kitsune who was in the habit of being more playful than mischievous. Why I used her as an assassin character in Thar, I'll never quite know. Especially when I had to completely revamp her personality.
Kaleb Morrington: I've always loved the name Kaleb, don't ask me why as I have no idea. Morrington is actually derived from the street name that I live just by - Mornington.
Zashira: Again, the name just popped into my head. She was originally going to be named 'Dragzena' after my first 'bad-guy' character but I found that the character herself was too childishly made and I didn't feel like revamping her just yet...
That's them in a nutshell I suppose.

The time has come my friends, to sharpen our blades and wit, and to allow the ice of our fore-fathers to run through our veins. The time has come, my friends, for war.
Re: Where'd your name come from?
I pretty much make the majority of mine up. I just slap syllables I think sound nice together, and sometimes it's all right. So that's where Saruna, Iarei, Rutenchioth, Anther, Amm and Vexako came from.
Deilakrion is a Greek word according to some online lexicon thing that I don't really trust that means 'creature.'
Querida Solana de Morua are all Spanish names, as she comes from Corezo so I figured it would make sense. I dug through lists and lists of them to find something that sounded good and had appropriate meaning. I do not remember what any of those names actually means.
Anther was an unfortunate case where I picked an actual word without meaning to. But it does suit him, since he's kinda girly anyways and pisses at the first sign of danger.
Amm is another unfortunate case. Joe says it means 'breastfeed' or whatever in his language. I hold a grudge against him for that. DAMN YOU FOR TELLING ME. I can never take Amm seriously ever again.
Vexako is a made up word, but 'Ko' is a Hawaiian . . .um, god maybe. I forget exactly, but it signifies strength or whatever and I just really love the sound of it. So I schemed to come up with a name that would allow me to make the nickname 'Ko.' voila.

Amm means breastfeed?
That makes me giggle.
