I posted that last night when I was tired to the point of not realizing what on Pal Tahrenor I was doing. Thanks anyway! You're awesome.

I'm noting here cuz I don't know if anyone said anything, that Dirken moved recently and is dealing with all the blah that comes with. So she's gonna be a bit slow posting for awhile. ;)

Yeah, sorry about that absence, everyone. No internet at home... I'll try to keep up nevertheless.

Erryl, I don't think you have anything to worry about; your posts are better than mine. (But Dirken's probably going to end up in a ditch somewhere sooner or later; he thinks he's a lot cleverer than he really is.)

Well, it is hard to compare to the quality of writing we see from the other two, isn't it?

I have had a lot of work to do lately anyway, so if people don't reply so soon, it doesn't bother me. In fact, I should be doing homework right now! Must be productive!

Eh, homework, shomework. Who needs to go to silly ol' college anyway, certainly not me *shifty eyes*. But you're doing fine. I admire anyone who can get stuff done in less than a bazillion words. Although, we all have to compare with Iarei, so, you know, doubts are understandable.

Also, just a side note, but is it hunky dory with everyone if I make the figurines black market black magic storage-type devices? We don't have to decide what they actually store right now, because Jester is clueless.

Fine by me. I don't really mind where the story goes at all; I'm just following along, trying to keep up. Haha.

If we're dealing with magic, I should mention that Dirken has some natural magical resistance. Thought I'd throw that out there since I can't seem to find his character sheet any more, so presumably nobody's been able to read it.

That could work very well Aniseed.

And this is a fine thread, and no one needs to doubt their writing abilities. :P Everyone rocks.

Depending on the type of magic, we could create a situation that even Dirken might be affected by. Say if it were to store the spirits of elementals -- were the elementals released from their prison, even Dirken would be in danger if, say, fire elementals came out and started throwing giant balls of flame at everyone. Or, we could make it more mundane types of magic, so that Dirken is the only one not totally affected, and their only chance of escape (I rather like the latter).

Either way, I think something is going to need to happen to keep them all grouped together once they finish breakfast. Either something to do with the idol thingies or with the thugs who are tailing them. Whatever happens though, I'm sure it will be fun.

Anything too flashy would pull the battlemages down on us.

Posties will be coming for really and for true.

Also, I'm just throwing this out there, but how much trouble do we want our band to get into? Because if, say, the figurine were to release whatever magic is in there - I personally think a curse would be wicked cool, because then we'd be all, "Oh noes, we can't come into contact with water or we'll melt, quick, get a doctor!" or something equally awesome, but it could be some sort of more mundane magic too - we'd have to vamoose before the guards came and possibly run straight into the blunt-object-wielding arms of the Bad People who are after us.

It all depends on how good of a reputation you want your character to have after this little escapade. I personally think whatever bad things happen to Jester are hilarious, so it's up to you people.

I agree with you in the sense that the more bad stuff goes down, the more entertained I am. Dirken though, also has a good point that maybe for now avoid the battlemages, as I'm not quite sure we're ready for a prison stay/death. >>
