Hey Derin, if Lazaras takes more than five days to post just start skipping him. While we wait we' re losing the feel of our characters, and he might be caught in rl stuff that might take a really long time. So, just keep going for now so we can move on the plot.

This is Saruna, by the by. XD

it's all good laz. . .but please if you *do* know that something is coming up for you that will take awhile post in the 'gone' thread. That way Derin and I will know to wait for you to come back if it isn't for too long. :P

Lulz, okay, so after three pages I think our characters need some help to get to the graveyard.

I figure, after the current line of conversation is done maybe one of the two can ask about the wooden furniture or something, or ask saruna if she's all alone or something, and she can get all emotional and talk about her husband and how he's buried in the town cemetery.

That should segue us into derin or laz asking about the cemetery, (we can brainstorm a reason why she'd ask to see if if we need to) and then Saruna can take them to it. While they're there, maybe Saruna can start talking about her father and magic, and how much she loathes marn's officials for their stance on magic.

Etc etc

It seems like we might have lost Mako... he hasn't replied in a while...

Yeah, I know he was having some personal issues irl, so the most we can do is to not shut out his character, and try to give him the opportunity to post should he be available to.

It's going to make the story tricky; Derin can't do what she needs to do without the assistance of a magic-user. Ah well, I'm sure we can work around it.

What do you think about pulling another magic-user into the story, in case we can't get a hold of Mako?

I've been keeping up with this thread just in case you guys decide to start doing any digging in the graveyard. I just wanted to say that if you can't find someone who can sense magic to join your thread, you can always npc one and if you get this person to start prying into the magic in the graveyard or beneath it, and causing too much trouble, a battlemage or one of Bela's servants might be sent in to interfere with your investigation.

I think that sounds like our best bet at the moment.

I was planning on Derin's investigation being non-invasive, but they can easily go digging around if you guys think that that might be more interesting. I'm fine either way. (In fact, bringing in an NPC and then having them need to flee the law could give Derin an opportunity to express her... less merciful side, depending on whether the NPC looks like a threat to her safety...)

Saruna, when Derin gets the info she wants, she's going to decide to stay in town awhile. Do you want her staying with Saruna semi-permanently or getting her own place?

It occurred to me 5 seconds ago that I never responded! Saruna would be absofantastilutely happy to have Derin stay with her. She tries to convince herself that she's happier being by herself, but she's really lonely. What more, with how they'll be working together she'll probably start seeing Derin as a sort of adopted daughter.
