so to move on make a proposal. how does xeis get in? what will each of us do next? everyone leaves the watertower except dianelopa who then goes in to puck. maybe they all meet xeis there at the massage or somewhere in town.

I don't think adding a new character to a plot that's basically stalled is a good idea. Not to mention that Xeis was talking to Niabi last night, and I think the two of them are going to team up for a thread.

We need Maeve to post a couple more times for us to get to a spot where she can have a couple of rounds of posting off, so concentrate, woman! =P

As for the amount of characters in the thread, it's going to slow down the more people you add, because some of us need to take the full 3 days to post. Assuming everyone takes that full time, with 4 people, the earliest you would be able to post after a full round is 9 days, if you post on the same day as the person before you.

Adding more people makes that time longer, as I always say real life and my family take precedence. Trust me, I was in a thread where there were 6 people posting, and it would take two weeks for me to be able to post sometimes.

I have no problem continuing this thread, although if Maeve leaves, Chez loses his motivation to be with Ben and Lopa...

my take on this discussion is that the interest in proceeding is minimal. Therefore it seems like we should find another option. since Chezak will only continue if maeve does and maeve doesn't have time, that leaves only me and anja. But I was never really part of gold-plated anyway. That really leaves only anja. I also do not think anja and dianelopa, even though we ended scouring for magpies, were really finished. maybe we should reopen scouring for magpies as that was actually going very well, I thought.

I proposed that Dia and Ben post because Maeve is going to do absolutely nothing, and either ignore or auto her. That was awhile ago though.

Therefore it seems like we should find another option.

Perhaps that is for the best since I'm busy. It wouldn't make sense for Maeve to abandon the pursuit of a weapon, so I'm not sure what to do about that. I hate dropping out on you guys but like Chezak mentioned, we sometimes take a while to post... And it sometimes takes me a week to post something simple. I made sure it was known it would be slow for me and it worked out well with Chezak since he's in the same boat, but once the plot got more complicated (not inherently a bad thing) then it didn't work out so well. I don't want to keep you hanging constantly.

maybe we can figure out a way that Maeve can be around and still pursue getting her weapon while the others do other things. It would have to be a way that maeve doesn't need to be there all the time, but would make sense when she does appear. f.ex. everyone lives near each other and are there most nights, so they could see each other then and maeve and chezak could join in any time they wanted to, but didn't have to if they didn't want to.

What I propose is that you guys hang on long enough to talk with Puck and get the mission straight, then Maeve and Chezak can disappear for a while. Does that sound ok?

Yeah, I'm still around. I just don't have much to say on the subject. It's not that I don't want to be in this thread, but it's more that my character is along for the ride with Maeve atm, as opposed to being interested in doing anything that doesn't concern her.

That's actually not a bad idea. Maeve is a very "Pop In, Cause Trouble, Leave" kind of person. And that will allow me, as you mentioned, to be able to come and go as I please, basically. That would also leave it for me and Chezak to have a separate, slower thread. Sounds like a plan.

And so perhaps they could give Maeve and Chezak a different task than Dia? That would explain them splitting up. I guess I'll post so you guys have something to react to. No promises on today but I'll work on it right now. (Booooring class)

Well, hullo... sorry for the intrusion, but I thought I'd offer up that I'm just passing through. Literally...

If Chezak and Maeve need a diversion, I've been posting in the Downtown area as well and currently have no obligations. Lo'en is in need of distraction, though Gia will most likely be making an appearance; we can diverge when that happens or whatever happens.

Oh, and slow is quite fine by me.

ok, for simplicity's sake, and to speed up the story past the boring bits, I propose we skip the gripping events of the massage parlor, let Puck and Lopa play out their conversation, and then re-enter with the others returning. Sound good?

Sounds good to me. Maeve will refuse a massage, drink some water, and wait around. Lol. Not very interesting.

I'd say arrive at the massage parlor, and everyone is just sitting down to have something to eat. I'd say it's something like just after a normal dinner time, and your conversation with Thad and Puck, followed by the walk here, would only have taken about half an hour or so real time, so we would have recently arrived and I figure dinner would be just on it's way out to us.

Then we can do a couple posts each during dinner as they get to know each other, since Ben is going to want to feel out his two heroes before bringing them to Anja, and Lopa can get the dinner she was promised by Puck.

Any other comments, questions, concerns with that plan?
