Summary: Anja gave Thad, the thief, a job to do. He was to sell and transport some goods to a noble named Salazar. Thad met with Salazar in the Red Chalice in Shim, and Salazar paid the large sum of bishani to acquire a small box of goods. He left the inn with two guards at night. The carriage he rode in was attacked by Thad later on as per Anja's instructions. Thad was to rob Salazar of the goods. Mid-way through the theft, Morry attacked the carriage in his werewolf form and killed everyone left except for Thad, and stole the box to get revenge on Thad and Dianelopa. Inside the box was Zou the drum. When Morry touched the drum, his arm was disfigured and the drum became a part of him.

Seeking vengeance, Morry waits for an opportunity to hurt the couple somehow. Meanwhile, news is reaching Benjamin, Anja's henchman, that Thad's mission has failed. Lis steals the purse from a rich man and Dianelopa helps her, then returns to the Tiger's Crossing inn to talk to Morry.

Other Notes: Dianelopa, Morry, and Lis are going to form a band of thieves in the near future. This is a good plot to get in on for thieves and other small time criminals

I'd love to jump in here if you guys have room for me. My elven NPC Benjamin would likely be wandering about anywhere around Marn or Shim or in between. He's always cruising and keeping his eyes and ears open, being the businessman that he is. But he wouldn't let just anybody know about what kind of businessman he is, and who he works for. Especially not a seductress like you

Your character is really cool. I would love it for you to join us, however you want to. I would, however, wait for Maeve and Chezak to be more acquainted... Perhaps when they are in Marn, Benjamin could appear and try to sell to them. I don't think it will take too long, but we can discuss this further if it starts to take awhile.

It'd actually be pretty cool, because, somehow, I was planning to have Maeve quest for swords. Her last incarnation had 2 magical swords and I wanted Maeve to eventually obtain something similar. I think perhaps one of them could end up being Anja's creation if it works out that way.

[Anja]

that sounds great. the deal is, though, like I said, that Anja's clientele is pretty exclusive. Maeve would probably never even know about Anja, and there would be many things she didn't understand about the whole arrangement. this would obviously lead to some trust issues.

the cool thing I see in this is that, seeing as Anja only accepts favours for her services, we have quite a while to think of a cool favour (essentially quest) on which to send Maeve (or both of you).

And I don't mind waiting at all. I mainly made Anja (my third character) to spice up Marn a little, and make some weird interaction here and there.


actually... Maevelivia might be just the ticket... yes.... (licks lips and pores over dusty books). Benjamin could see her and think to himself: "Anja, we've got us a Pythoness slayer...."

Yeah, which is why I said "perhaps" XD We'll have to see how it works out between the characters. Even I don't know what Maeve will do. Either way, it could be very interesting.

[Anja]

I can tell ya, Anja would absolutely love to put together a pair of dual-wield swords, especially for Maeve. What I'm thinking is that Benjamin would first get to know her for a while, and keep Anja updated on his evaluations of her. Hell, maybe even Ben and Chezak are mildly acquainted with eachother somehow... we could work out a small backstory for that, as a premise for the three getting together and talking.

Eventually, Anja would decide that yes, Maeve is a good candidate for slaying the Pythoness, and at that point, decides to meet her in person. Does that sound reasonable?

That does. And in the meantime Maeve can find an apartment and start her research of the ruins.

What are your thoughts Chezak?

I have no problem with Anja/Benjamin joining, but I agree with Ice when she says to let tMaeve and Chez become more acquainted first.

Chez isn't particularly enamored of magical items, and only carries the falchion on his hip as anything that remotely resembles magic. However, he might follow Maeve on a more dangerous quest, if she can be ... er ... extremely convincing.

As yet, Chez hasn't had any major women enter his life, and aside from the occasional bed companion, he's never really been interested in women. Not that he's interested in men... anyways... I ramble.

We'll have to see how things play out, methinks.

sounds good to me. like I said before, I don't mind waiting a bit.

[Dianelopa]

I'm eager to get in and play. I see this plot takes place in Shim and Dianelopa is now in Marn, so she has to have a reason to get back to Shim. She is from Shim originally and went off to Marn out of curiousity. Perhaps she simply can't discover a way to survive in Marn as she has no bishmani and all she knows to support herself is hunting. Perhaps she also misses her old parents or even has a premonition or hears from someone that one of them is dying. Anyway, I think it should be easy enough to get her back to Shim if you agree to have her in the plot.

I would love for Dianalopa to join with us. They are in Shim at the moment but they are headed for Marn. This might take awhile, and we don't want to skip ahead becase we want Chezak and Maeve to get better aquainted. We will also be joining the NPC Benjamin at some point. Once they are in Marn, we can set up a way to introduce Dianalopa or you can just jump in. We'll figure it out

Sorry, I've been massively sick for the last few days, and my little one has been as well. Hopefully I have the brains to post tonight, but after working all day, I don't think it will be happening. I'll post tomorrow, no matter how I feel.
