Movies, anyone? (possible spoilers, so be warned)

Post by Melonious Braddin » Thu Aug 21, 2008 9:16 pm

So I'm bored, and figured I'd ask if anyone has seen any good or bad movies lately? I went and saw the latest Mummy. If you've seen the others, I'd suggest waiting until it comes out on video. The graphics were great, but the story was weak, the acting wasn't nearly as good, and, to my great dissappointment, they changed the actress who played Evee. There's not nearly as much chemistry between her and Brendon. All in all I was sorely dissappointed.

I kind of expected that. They just can't keep doing sequels and still have the quality of the first one. I'll probably get it on Netflix when it comes out though.

I wasnt fond of the first mummy cause I can't stand the main hero guy's actor. His voice makes me  .

Haven't seen a movie in ages though. All the rage is on about this new batman flick. I should really see it, supposedly. Looks good anyway.

It was pretty good.

Except if you don't like the mummy guy's voice, you will suffer whenever batman talks.

Yeah, Brendan Fraser sucks in everything....

....except Encino Man, Airheads, Blast From the Past, Dudley Do-Right, Bedazzled, and Monkey Bone. Wow, I actually managed to think of a lot more than I thought I would. They're all comedies though, so maybe he just shouldn't be in anything but comedy.

I liked the first two Mummy movies...

And Monkeybone was so underrated!

I actually thought Brendon was pretty good in Gods and Monsters. But maybe that's just me...

I've seen the movie and OMG that is the funniest video ever!! Lol! Yeah, that voice did get worse and worse. I liked it in Batman Begins, he only had a hint of it. I couldn't take a guy in bat suit talking like that seriously. Seriously.

It is a really good movie though. It really surprised me. I don't normally like superhero movies and certainly not Batman (thinking back to the 80's/90s or whenever). The actors are really good in their roles and the plot is actually very interesting. The special effects were awesome of course, but what I really found cool was the character dynamics. There was a lot going on with the characters, amazingly enough. So you should see it.

Any other good movies out right now? Not that I'll pay $9 to go see it once, but I'll write it on my "wait and get it later" list.
