Physical Description: A small and sad excuse for a dragon, this male is exactly what a domestic dragon should be. His distant cousins are tall and grand and great with long horns and brilliant scales that come in a variety of colors. This male is actually fully grown now, though he is tiny in comparison. From head to toe he is covered in fine scales, which are primarily a russet coloration with a few areas of gold thrown in there. His horns are small and short, and colored a sort of butterscotch color just like his thick toenails. His wings are very small and completely useless for flight, unlike the impressive wingspans of his distant cousins. Thanks to the backward evolution known as domestication, this dragon is miniaturized and many of his body features are shrunken and have become useless. Another example would be his tail, which is much shorter than a wild dragon. The end does have a familiar spade tip, but it is not sharp and the tissue there is actually quite vulnerable. His legs are all stocky and thick, and each ends with a foot with four relatively sharp talons. These claws can be easily filed down if you know what you're doing. There are many small, darker scaled that stick up along the top of his head and run down to his shoulders a bit like a mane. These are also useless, though some kinds of domestic dragon have longer scales that they raise to portray emotion or make threats. These ones, however, are stuck where they are. The dragon's eyes are a common gold coloration, and are larger than they should be. Though he has cousins that one might faint at the sight of, this male hardly appears to be a threat and is in effect, quite cute.

Powers or Strengths:
Resistance to fire magic ― If only because of his dragon bloodlines, the domestic dragon is not really effected by fire and in fact often enjoys bathing himself in fire. Or, he would if he had access to a fireplace. He enjoys the heat of the flame.

Dragon breath ― Rather than being able to breathe fire, domestic Eyropan dragons have a weakened ability for this. Their fire has turned into a foul smelling, bubbling sort of gas. This smells a lot like sulfur and burning flesh, but it is not harmful to breathe in. It just smells really horrible. It is one of the dragon's only defenses and he uses it both when he feels threatened and occasionally when he is very, very excited.

Weaknesses:
Dependent on others ― He is called a domestic dragon because he is from a domesticated species. He is not simply a wild dragon that was tamed. Years and years of de-evolution have created this animal that is entirely dependent on people. He needs people to feed him and care for him. Though he can survive in the wild easily while he preys on small animals, he is vulnerable to other animals. He's much like a dog, in fact. He acts more like an excitable dog than anything else. He also isn't neutered, which is rather...problematic for him. Sure, he might be lovable and even a little bit retarded but he really isn't suited for the wild.

Lack of defenses ― Though the species that he stemmed from was formidable and feared indeed, this little guy is pretty sad. His horns aren't really weapons anymore, nor is the end of his tail or his breath really. He often uses scare tactics like his breath and roaring to scare larger animals away, and he can't really run too fast because of his stubby limbs. His claws and teeth are his best chances for survival but this is a world he was not created for.

Stupidity ― The domestic dragon is considerably dumber than a wild dragon. Some dragons are vastly intelligent and some are even capable of learning language but of all of them, the domestic is the stupidest. He is only about as intelligent as the average mutt, and though he might be able to learn tricks and things, he's hardly any smarter than they are.

Weak against water magic ― Once more, because of his dragon heritage, this male is weak against water magic. He hasn't really ever come across any, but he learned long ago that he hates to swim. In fact, he just hates water in general except to drink, though it really doesn't hurt him. This is due to instinct and the fact that if ever he was faced with water magic, he would be doomed.

History: The dragon was bought from a breeder in an unknown town in an unknown area of Eyropa as an egg. The caretaker who bought him and hatched him was not an experienced dragon caretaker and though domestic dragons are far easier to care for, they do require some special knowledge. This knowledge, of course, is easily found in a book if anyone would just care to look at one but the person who hatched him was not all that responsible. Still, the dragon was kept until its owner decided he didn't want to care for a reptilian animal such as this one. This, of course, was decided right after the little dragon began the teething process, which often involves biting and gnawing on things that really should not be gnawed on such as arms and fingers.

The dragon was brought to the faraway town of Marn, where the owner hoped to sell it but was unable to get past the guards leading the way to the city. It was for this reason that the owner simply dumped the young dragon off in the woods and hoped that by doing this, the 'problem' would go away. He left the baby there at seven months of age. It was lucky that there were plenty of mice and rabbits to capture and it was even luckier that the dragon survived at all. Occasionally the dragon has snuck his way into Shim to steal a chicken, though these prey can be a bit difficult with their pecking and screeching and all that. The dragon has no name, as he never received one, and is essentially feral. However, he is quite comfortable around humans and does not often shy away from them. He has lived in solitude for so long though, that sometimes he is unsure of the people he meets. Some people are friendly and others are not.

But this dragon is so retarded, he's really just looking for some legs to hump. And, maybe somebody to love him. Until then he will remain in the woods munching on rabbits and any small animal that he manages to get a hold of.
