Brainstorming notes
----
(01:40:56) Diego: Scenario:
(01:42:39) Diego: Diego's job will be a night job, probably at a private estate, and one or more present are under Fidget's surveillance as part of the 'gathering information' side of things. Fidget will probably have found a spot with a decent vantage point to see if they try to leave at night.
Maybe she sees Diego eliminate a guard, and in the name of being able to make a decent report, follows him into the estate at a safe and stealthy distance
(01:44:13) Diego: That's when Diego might start to build up the fixation as he methodically moves through the estate. Perhaps the climax will be a pitched skirmish in the inner courtyard, 1v3 or 4, and Diego's handling of that fight is what seals the fixation.
And THEN she starts following him, messing with his day-to-day, etc
(01:44:43) (probablyafk_Kat): that works well
(01:45:05) (probablyafk_Kat): reall well
(01:45:07) (probablyafk_Kat): y
(01:45:22) Diego: Cool. I think we have a seed for an RP

(01:45:45) (probablyafk_Kat): I love your brain.
(01:45:56) (probablyafk_Kat): thread titles?
(01:46:03) Diego: Now, one other scene I can see working: let's say it reaches a point where the fixation grows strong enough that she wants to capture him. We assume she gets him by surprise with a strong paralytic poison
(01:46:45) (probablyafk_Kat): but of course
(01:47:11) Diego: The complication being that, due to his innate talents, the poison ends up wearing off at an inconvenient and narratively appropriate time
(01:47:17) (probablyafk_Kat): haha
(01:47:23) (probablyafk_Kat): yeah, that would happen
(01:47:43) (probablyafk_Kat): they're usually on the weaker side anyways due to her not being able to fix the whole 'keep the heart beating/lungs working'
(01:48:47) Diego: Title ideas
The Sweetest Poison
(01:48:56) (probablyafk_Kat): ...yes.
(01:48:58) (probablyafk_Kat): yesyesyes
(01:50:39) Diego: If you want, I can write the opening scene, with the systematic murder of a small estate, with your first post being how Fidget observes and sneaks and reacts (We'll assume that she remains unnoticed by Diego, due to her being quite good at that)
(01:50:58) (probablyafk_Kat): yes, though I would like it broken into two posts each
(01:51:36) (probablyafk_Kat): also I'm envisioning one of those sorta open-air breezy summer-homey estates sorta a bit off the depths of the city
(01:51:45) Diego: For Diego:
First post: infiltration and first couple of kills
Second post: the courtyard fight scene
(01:51:53) Diego: Yeah, agreed
(01:52:03) Diego: Find me a visual reference?
(01:54:01) (probablyafk_Kat): ....hrmmm, lots of colonial american places
(01:55:43) Diego:
http://www.conrado.com/portfolio/homes ... eXKYvnzrIU ?
(01:56:23) (probablyafk_Kat): http://www.architecturaldigest.com/blogs/daily/2014/03/mediterranean-farmhouse-ibiza-for-sale
(01:57:04) (probablyafk_Kat):
http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p1175984 !!!
(01:57:33) Diego: Perfect
(01:57:42) (probablyafk_Kat): that courtyard
(01:57:44) (probablyafk_Kat): yum
(01:57:56) Diego: Yeah, that will be running with blood =D
(01:58:14) Diego: And I can do a lot with those pillars in a fight scene
(01:58:26) Diego: Oh and the fountain. Yes.
(01:58:38) (probablyafk_Kat): and lots of hidey places for fidget, room to room
(01:58:46) Diego: Yessss
(01:58:47) Diego: Create the plot thread, gogo
(01:59:02) Diego: Or are you at work? Did you want me to?
(01:59:31) (probablyafk_Kat): I am
(01:59:57) (probablyafk_Kat): is this 122 or 123?
(02:01:08) Diego: 123.
Bad rep was February 122, so we should assume mid- 123
(02:02:00) (probablyafk_Kat): late summer?
(02:02:08) (probablyafk_Kat): nice and sticky humid hot
(02:02:13) (probablyafk_Kat): the smell of flowers in the air
(02:02:24) (probablyafk_Kat): and the ocean
(02:02:29) Diego: Haha, sure, I don't know what month summer is on that side of the world
(02:02:48) (probablyafk_Kat): oh, may-august
(02:03:00) Diego: Then yeah, makes sense
(02:03:02) (probablyafk_Kat): in this version of earth it stays a bit more humid and hot year round, too
(02:03:17) (probablyafk_Kat): so, either late july or early august
--
(02:06:09) Diego: So, when would you like my first post to cut off?
(02:06:19) Diego: Soon after he enters the estate?
(02:07:10) (probablyafk_Kat): after the first kill
(02:08:33) Diego: Before he enters the estate proper?
(02:09:36) Diego: Also, who is he killing? We should establish that
(02:11:22) (probablyafk_Kat): yes
(02:11:34) (probablyafk_Kat): and mm, sec
(02:12:07) (probablyafk_Kat): I vote for a bellezan or quijas target
(02:12:21) (probablyafk_Kat): maybe hosting fidget's target
(02:13:51) Diego: Bellezan sounds good
(02:14:19) Diego: And maybe the goal is to disrupt trade with a Samarian cartel
(02:14:58) (probablyafk_Kat): yessss
(02:18:08) Diego: It'd be funny if Morua and Fidget's bosses have the same short-term goal, but their long-term plans are mutually exclusive.
What if Morua's allies in Samar are at odds with the clients of Fidget's organisation, but both benefit from the removal of the 3rd party trying to strike a deal with Belleza?
(02:18:56) (probablyafk_Kat): I like what could happen in the thread because of that
(02:20:00) (probablyafk_Kat): uneasy bedfellows kind of thing, the extra layer of fidget's primary trying to keep her in line and not try to do things to diego and/or blow their cover by interfering with him
--
(02:21:05) Diego: What is the name of the Samarian Cartel that is getting fucked over?
(02:22:08) (probablyafk_Kat): sec
(02:29:48) (probablyafk_Kat): Kayi Cartel?
(02:30:10) (probablyafk_Kat): Or Kayi Trading Company or ... iunno
(02:30:13) (probablyafk_Kat): historical reference
(02:30:20) (probablyafk_Kat):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kay%C4%B1_tribe
(02:30:42) (probablyafk_Kat): they made textiles
(02:31:48) (probablyafk_Kat): or are we going with cartel in the drug trade business?
(02:31:50) Diego: Kayi merchant brotherhood?
(02:31:59) Diego: No, no, legitimate business
(02:32:14) (probablyafk_Kat): brotherhood, yes
(02:32:29) (probablyafk_Kat): gives it a distinct flair over the southern europe provinces
(02:33:51) Diego: And more reason for the attack on one to be seen as an attack on all (more antagonists, huzzah)
