Hey if you guys want, Skip Dray. He's not going to do much that will add to the story but he'll probably swing by the bakery in the next post. :3 Just to pop in to let Talia know he's on the guard root and give her vague details of where he'll be standing. :D

Question; Is Drayel leaving or do we just need to swing by the school before we go to the museum?

I figured just a brief mention of them swinging by before they headed out again. If its easier for him to just catch up again, I can do that. I'm good either way.

Yo Kit - I think think we talked about Talia going to the museum and some funky stuff start happening. Want to get this thread moving with me again? I was thinking - so it didn't set off any major alarms (unless you really want to make this a party) I could have it all be in her mind. Nothing really is happening but in her mind she see the earth shake and the skulls talking or whatever and then all of a sudden things are normal again and she rushes home and eventually runs into the basilard and decides to make a deal?

Simon - are you still wanting to participate or are you officially done? Just so I can figure out exactly what is going on - I can make it work either way! The more the merrier but I get it's been a while....whoops

The idea was that the fossil in the museum, which is of the species that created the basilard, would sense the basilard's contact with you and become active via ancient/aggressive necromancy. To what extent I'm fully comfortable leaving up to you guys; either hallucinatory and spiritual or real and dangerous is fine with me.

There is the question of how she plans to find the basilard again. After what happened, struggle to imagine it actually returning like it initially indicated.

I could also play the undead Ispoli giant personally, if you need another person to continue the story?

I would assume that if the fossil awoke in any way the basilard probably sense the magic coming from it? Perhaps it leaves some sort of magical signature on Talia and it tracks it to her and they reconnect? and I could love you to play the giant. Now is it a whole skeleton or just the skull or what?

Sorry I've been gone a while. ^^;

The alive and dangerous would sound pretty neat, maybe have the actual fossil not do much but activate the other 'displays' in an attempt to defend itself? Or attack? We'd have to go seaching through the museum for it, but maybe it can yell at what it thinks is the Basilard. Unless their friendsand I'm misunderstanding this entire thing. I do that. =_=

I don't think the extent of the fossil has ever been formalized. It is whatever we want it to be, I suppose!

I have to admit, I'm... nervous about giving the basilard magic-detection/tracking abilities which far exceed those in its application. Even outside of the usual powergaming concern, if it were capable of such tracking, its entire quest to find its fellow blades would be made obsolete.

Mm. Fair enough.

If the bal is near the museum and the fossil does something odd, if people panic and run out it could see it and maybe go investigate? Would it even be interested in that sort of thing?

That's a better idea, though it still relies on some incredibly convenient timing. The basilard's odds of being right outside the museum at this time seem pretty slim.

If the skeleton spoke to Talia about the basilard, or didn't but sufficiently scared her, would Talia consider seeking the basilard out herself? It wouldn't be too difficult to ask around other bakeries about a kid carrying a dagger that size who begs for food without talking.

I am comfortable with the "outside museum" option if you don't think that would be in character for her.
