Now for most of you I'm sure this will be a no-brainer, but I'm putting up this how-to as a way of saying that there are no excuses for this subforum to be abused.

What is a Journal? How do I use it?

A journal/diary/secret log/etc. is a personal IC account of events, plans or feelings that have happened or might happen surrounding a particular character. This subforum is a place where you can start a topic to write down these things both for your personal use and for others to view.

How NOT to use the Journals.

The journals are NOT to be used to gain information about another character to use against them in an IC encounter. Unless it has been per-approved by the person who wrote the journal, none of your characters can assume to gain knowledge based on anything you read in a journal.

What are Correspondence and how do they differ from Journals?

Correspondence are things such as letters that can be exchanged between different characters. While the information should still be considered private, there may be some leeway when it come to people intercepting other peoples mail, but again you should ask those who wrote it for permission first. Now when starting a chain of correspondence (in a thread), the first post should include both the date and those to be involved somewhere at the top.

Now have fun and enjoy the new subforum!
