New to Town

As he takes in the sites, Sir Gavin sighs at the perfect decision, his choice to move to this, his new home town, he passes some people, who don't really pay much attention to him, who he waves too, none wave back, feeling anxious and needing to make some friends, the 28 year old, Elven warrior, tries to find an inn, but unsuccessfully makes doesn't make a find. (Please tell me how one joins the Town Guard)
