Player Name: Cinny
Name: Pearl Buron
Age: Nineteen
Race: Harpy
Height: 5'0"
Weight: 114lbs
Physical Description: Pearl is a small, petite girl. While she is small and physically weak though, she has good looks that is used to draw people in. She has large, thick lashed eyes that are a tan-ish shade of brown, and her hair is a light, golden blond, reaching just to her shoulders. Pearl is different from most in Marn, for the main reason that she doesn't dress as dully as most of the people in the city walls. Her outfits are often made of pale pastel colors, such as blue and pink. And she adores jewelry. Very feminine, Pearl has long nails that look like they've been manicured, when in reality it's just how they grow. But, her down fall is she is completely weak physically, and probably would be easy to knock off her feet just by slapping her hard enough at the right angle.
When she creates her wings, they are that of a dove and are a bright white that is almost hard to look at directly. In order to create her wings she needs a single feather from a bird, and with a chant the feather will take a flureocent white color before multiplying to form her wings which last for only a few minutes before all the feathers seem to disappear after being blown away by the wind, excluding the real feather which would just fall to the ground and return to it's normal color.
Possessions: Pearl has few possessions that she keeps with her, but she does carry around a small handful of things. Hidden underneath her dresses, every day before she goes out she makes sure it's there, is a jeweled dagger strapped to her thigh with a leather sheath she made herself. It was her father's, who was a traveler before finding Thar Shaddin's city, Marn, and falling in love with the bleak woman Pearl now calls her mother. In addition to the dagger, she has jeweled, hoop earrings all the way up each of her ears. They were gifts from her father as well. Finally she carries a silver pocket watch with birds painted across the inside behind the numbers and the hands, a gift her mother had given to her on her sixteenth birthday after Pearl discovered her magical powers in the safety of their home.
Powers or Strengths: Pearl has a gift with being able to lure people and charm them, which is her most powerful ability. Charming people doesn't always work, but quite normally it does. As for magic wise, she is able to call upon birds or create wings that will last for about five minutes in case she needs to have a speedy escape. Otherwise, Pearl doesn't have much ability or power in her small body.
Weaknesses: When it comes to weaknesses, Pearl has quite a few. She is quiet and observant, but she also gets arrogant and when she does, she fails at what she was aiming to accomplish. She is also physically very weak, and her magic isn't all that great so it doesn't make up for it too much. She'd not fair well at all in physical combat, and the best her magic would do for her is help her escape the fight. Also, Pearl's charisma tends to charm people, which is an unintentional habit on her end, and it causes some havoc in her life.
History: Pearl's father was a man who traveled across the world, he was talented and while not filthy rich, he was fairly wealthy and accomplished. He wondered upon Marn only to meet her mother, Maya. Unlike Pearl's father, her mother is like a normal citizen of Marn, wearing gray clothing and seeming to slouch and keep her head down, while her father was dressed in bright gold silk and things of that nature. How they ended up together, Pearl would never know. Shortly after though, she was born in Marn, and raised in the house she still lives in to this day in the residential section. Pearl was originally a very quiet girl, and she seemed to spend every waking minute of her days studying things according to her parents. Whether it's true or not, the girl would never know. But it was unimportant, wasn't it? What is important is her present.
Around sixteen years old, Pearl discovered something very interesting. If she hummed a certain tune in the right way, a bird would come to her as if she called it. And each different tune called a different bird. This interested the girl and soon she was out in the streets calling birds to her, drawing the attention of the guard. Before anything serious could happen, Pearl was sat down by her mother and father, and they explained that she had a gift. But the gift was dangerous and had to be kept hidden. Obviously, she was sad and didn't WANT to believe calling birds was a dangerous talent, but she was obedient and she stopped calling them in public and instead, at night, would call them to her bedroom window. By eighteen, Pearl was sure she was different from the others. She would spend hours watching people outside. Humans, elves, dwarves, she'd watch them all for hours and none of them were like her. None of them had anything really special about them in the way she did, or at least, that's what she was seeing.
At nineteen years old, Pearl began to study heavier than she ever did before, and after only a few months of being nineteen, she gained another ability and that was the creation of wings. By holding one feather, she could multiply it to become a pair of bird wings, but they only lasted for seemingly a few minutes. Her charisma had been high since a young age, so charming didn't seem abnormal until all of the other things began to happen. More studying pursued and finally she had learned she was no human, nor elf, nor even seraphim, but instead a Harpy. A creature connected to birds and any winged species really, and by thirty, she'd be able to shape shift into a bird if she practiced her talents well enough. With her new found knowledge, Pearl had a new found arrogance as well, and would parade through the streets showing off things no one but she knew of. Because of her cockiness though, Pearl has gotten herself into multiple bad situations, though she continues to put herself in them even after the consequences.
