Christof and I have come to a consensus that the NPC our characters are looking for are either the same person or tied up together in some fashion. For some purpose we will need to go to Ayana. My personal ooc reason for creating a plot in Ayana is to come up with some lore and story to the world. I'm also interested in visiting the Africa and Asia areas to further flesh out those regions.

I'm in. I just need some help figuring out why my character would want to travel to Ayana, since his principal goal is to survive in Marn as his father did.

Perhaps the same person Christof is looking for is a friend of Anarawad's father.

Or, since Anarawad is intrigued by anything new, a shifter would interest him and he may try to learn about one by hanging around.

Also, Christof is a warrior who uses a firearm. Anarawad wants to become strong, and may want to be taught some techniques in battle. If either of your characters would be likely to allow any of this, that is. Just let me know.

Mikhail is kind enough and wouldn't mind answering any questions. Christof may be up for teaching you what he knows, but you'll have to sift through his long winded ramblings. On the other hand he hates all things magic, so Anarawad might have some difficulties gaining his trust.

Any convenient plot device that you mentioned to bring you character in is fine with me.

Good to hear.

Anarawad hides his healing magic, so that won't be much of a problem. He doesn't have much talent in it so I would imagine it would be hard to detect. Correct me if I'm wrong. Even so, it's healing magic so perhaps if Cristof was injured Anarawad could help and earn some trust that way. Either way is fine with me.

Thanks, guys. Glad to be included so quickly. I've had some bad experiences with freeformers in the past, so the warm welcome comes as a well-deserved relief.

Hey guys, I don't want to turn into little miss bossy but as a gentle fyi the battlemages in the setting are pretty much the baddest of the bad besides Bela. They would not be cowed easily, and would not hesitate to kill someone who backtalked them. The whole city is scared of the battlemages for a reason -- they're scary shit.

The last time we had a character fighting a battlemage we pretty much had pages of discussion to figure out how the character could best the battlemage without it being unrealistic -- he only was able to temporarily knock the battlemage out, which made him a fugitive (but did allow them to escape). Marn is not kind to those who mess with its justice system.

Don't worry Saruna we got it covered, the situation was diffused and if you want the reaction explanation of the BM I can explain that one as well. Also, reprocusions will happen I mean you can't go yelling at a guard and not expect something to happen.
