The scenario begins in the outskirts of Shim where Ran stumbles in, wounded and hunted and in desperate need of help. With the last of his strength, Ran makes it to the edge of the town and is discovered by Saruna.

Availability: Closed but flexible (I'm open to discussion!)

Posting Speed: Standard 1/day, with a flexible wait time

Characters Involved: Ran Azshmatha, Saruna Rischett, Sindaria Shipsbred

Location: In the town of Shim (Main Thread: http://www.tharshaddin.com/rp/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2701)

Summary: Chased north by marauding bandits, Ran Azshmatha is the lone survivor of his party of displaced alchemists and Eyropan soldiers. Wounded and on his last leg of strength, he arrives at Shim. Saruna, an old woman and a resident of Shim, takes him in her home.

Meanwhile, Rekkan has left behind a past of violence and wandered into Shim. The wandering herbalist meets Saruna and Ran and offers them his services as a healer, but disappears mysteriously after tending to Ran's wounds.

The next evening, Saruna takes Ran to a tavern in Marn and shows him a copy of the Vitiable Paragon. Ran, who owes his life to Saruna, pledges his newfound freedom to helping her cause against Marn's oppressive government.

I've been ditched on my character Saruna, and though she's looking for crime, she is exactly the type of old lady to take in strays (even despite her nasty recent experiences -- she's well set in her ways and hopeless). I could see her trying to convert him to her cause without realizing she's doing it, and maybe moving him to pity her and help.

Thanks and I read through the character sheet and it looks great. Saruna looks like a fun character to write with (on the other hand, so have all the other characters I've read here :). I think it'll work quite nicely!

I'll get started on a thread. From what I've read it sounds like Saruna owns a house in Shim. How about we start there? Ran staggers into Saruna near her house as the sun sets. I'll simply write Ran to a likely spot and Saruna can find him however you'd like.

That would work nicely. I'm going to assume it's the evening from where she was abandoned in my last thread (coincidentally that one left off in a great spot), so she'll be rattled already. It'll make for a memorable first encounter, I hope.

Ran went to sleep in the latest post, unless anything forces him up, he will most likely sleep through whatever Saruna does to him. He'll sleep for a little over a day (30 hours or so) and wake up early in the morning, so you can cover about that period in your next post (or you can try to wake him up).

I think Saruna would die of embarrassment first. >>

I'm interested in joining this thread. Considering my character is a druid and has knowledge of herbs and other medicinal products, maybe he could help? I know you've developed a bit from the injuries. However, an aggravation of the injuries could occur if you're interested? :)

Saruna:

I told Rekkan he can post as soon as you write Saruna's trip to fetch water. Hope that's fine!

sure thing, it'll take a couple more days of posting. I'm definitely keeping you in mind so no worries. In fact, I'd like to talk to you a little bit to flesh out the part where you come in. We can take that to PMs, I'll send you one soon.
