Characters Involved: Caiomhe, Iarei and Jester

Location: In Marn, continued from a thread that shall not be named. Lulz

Summary: Iarei is searching for a means to get into the black market of the city. She has teamed up with Caiomhe. . .and we haven't decided yet how we want to get them into trouble. But there will be trouble.

Other Notes: Really we just need to discuss this.

Um, yeah, discussion is good. We need to catch a newbie or someone to drag in here as well. And plot is good too...

Wasn't there going to be something with the Boy? He was going to do something bad and then... something would happen?

Wow. I'm bad at this whole planning thing.

Okay, so, brainstorm time. Our options are rather limited at this juncture.

The last thing that happened to Caiomhe and Iarei was that the two were staying in an Inn at the edge of Marn along with a man named Alter Corin. Gizmo, a large and furry robot controlled by three goblins that no one knows about, was practicing manuevers when he smashed into the side of the building and destroyed Alter Corin in a fantastic spray of guts.

Now, we can start off directly from the other thread, or we can move it a little forward. Either way, Iarei and Caiomhe are likely to be still with each other. I don't suggest going too far forward, simply due to the fact that the two haven't been around each other for long and we don't precisely know how they'd interact with each other. So maybe a day or three in the future from Alter dying if we're not continuing it immediately from the last thread.

Other than that, there isn't much to draw from. Iarei wishes to get control of the seedy underground of the city, to get revenge on a former friend back in Eyropa. She is newly arrived in the town, with no one besides a stray she picked up (a young boy who has no name and whom she merely calls 'Boy') who she knows very well; Caiomhe is only an acquaintence.

Caiomhe, I believe (Cai might need to correct me here), wishes to fix her eyesight and perhaps further her lot in life.

Jester, if I recall correctly, is new in town to be a jester. I don't remember if she has anything up her sleeves as far as aims are?

Our best bet to smash these three unlikely people together is to somehow put them all in a troublesome situation. The easiest way I could think of wa s to get Boy into trouble. Currently he is out and about the city somewhere, and I thought it might make sense for him to step onto the wrong turf, say a few outrageous things about his mistress, and possibly lead a few angry malcontents back to Iarei -- or foster that trouble on a convenient stranger (Jester or Caiomhe). Which could, in all possibilities, lead us a merry chase around the city.

That's all I got at the moment. Suggestions, thoughts?

Cai does want to get her sight back, yeah, but she is slowly realizing that this might just be a pointless endeavor. So, while being a bitter bitch about it, she's out to spike people's drinks to turn their fingernails funny colors.

On the idea of a merry chase... yes. Especially since Cai is unable to run on her own without smashing into something, probably something valuable, which would only complicate the problem. We could start with them going into a shop or something, Boy steals unsanctioned, and while they are running from the shop Cai smashes a mirror, compounding her bad luck, then slams the door open in their haste to leave smack into Jester, and they drag her along as well?

Just a spur-of-the-moment idea.

What if, running along that line of thought, Boy steals from a shop owned by one of the illicit kingpin's shops? Thus fouling Iarei's plans to get in with the city's underground, and putting them all into huge trouble.

Ooh, nice. I think we could run (haha) with that.

Is Jester still here? Or did she ever find our thread?

I believe she's still around, but I think she's the type to keep quiet unless she has something really awesome to offer. That or she doesn't know of this thread's existence.

I live! Sorry, school tried to eat me alive for a while there, but I did know of this forum, I just never had any time to reach it.

Also, I am that kind of person. You have uncanny people-figuring out skills, Iarei.

So Jester basically has the goal of becoming a jester to someone in power and using her influence to make the world -- or at least Marn -- a Better Place. She doesn't have a plan to actually get that started, so getting entangled in a gigantic ball of trouble would be good for her. Unfortunately I have no awesome offerings for getting the ball rolling, but what if later they got the brilliant (*cough*) idea to try and repay the underworld by doing some horribly illegal stuff and gaining back their favor?

Ehehehe doing illegal stuff to get favor is right down Iarei's alley.

we might need to figure out what ahead of time though, in case what we think of is too much and we need admin approval.

Well, there's always the ever popular stealing from rival powers/anyone with something valuable. And the also popular killing somebody, although considering two of us have no combat abilities whatsoever, they may just decide to send us off for reconnaissance or some such spy mission. I think it would be rather hilarious to see us try and kill someone, though.
