Well, the entirety of it is a reference to hawking and black holes, and how essentially a black hole is the astrophysicist's equivalent to something that's undefined.

We have an astrophysicist in here. I think Allen is one? Or was it Rogrim? You know what I'm talking about!

Yeah, pretty much. It's like all of the equations of physics rely on certain variables, and those variables no longer make sense in a black hole.


Hawking says it's one place where the universe is cheating, but we have no way to look inside and see what's going on. Not just because we have no practical way to look inside without being crushed, but because in theory there can be no way to look inside. It's a black box in which God plays all kinds of games.
