Alright, Frug's thread got me to wondereing, what video-game do you people play? Obviously Final Fantasy isn't on Phil or Railtus' lists, but what is?

I play way too many to list, so I'll just list some of my favorites.

-Final Fantasy, except 10 and 10-2 (they SUCKED). Really like 8, 7, 11, and the first 3.

-Devil May Cry. Don't even look at me funny, it's the second best hack-and-slash game series ever.

-Metal Gear Solid. Tactical espionage action at it's finest.

-GOD OF MOTHAFOKIN WAR!!! That's hack-and-slash at it's peak, not to mention some of the most complex puzzles I've seen in a game.

-Soul Calibur. Best fighting games ever. Me+Raphael = You+Dead

-Elder Scrolls. Crappy graphics for the most part, but I love them anyway.

-Starcraft. Yeah, I said it.

-Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

-The Legend of Zelda. Yeah yeah.

-Swords and Serpants. Oh yeah, old-school maze map rpg.

Black and White 2, I just got the other day. EPIC MIRACLES ROCK, PEOPLE!

X2 - The Threat, heavily modified to the point where I'm flying the Enterprise-E around with 27 shuttlecraft doing my trading for me.

Warhammer 40,000 - Fire Warrior. Actually very good, although I've heard bad comments it keeps me entertained, if not exactly amped.

LoTR - Battle for Middle Earth 2. I think I actually preferred the original to this game, although the building is a lot more intellectual, the mission progression is awful, compared to the old.

Hospital Tycoon. For me, this is the graphical improvement Theme Hospital has been looking for.

Trainz 2006 - Just because I'm sad and like trains. this ame is really involved, and you can control your train by the levers in the cab. Also, the 2006 version included the ability to load and unload your rolling stock. Rock on!

Star Trek: Legacy - A good game, if not what we were promised - YET AGAIN, the Star Trek gaming community is disappointed.

NeverWinter Nights 1. Still can't shake the addiction to completing every side quest.

Minesweeper. Not exactly high-tech, although the Vista version features sounds and some funky graphic changes. Still can't get my expert time under 70 seconds though.

Not Quite Star Trek: Elite Force 3 - A game of my own devision. I'm still working on it, but it was designed to be a sequel to Elite Force 2. Set aboard the Enterprise F, an Exodus class battleship, the game features 46 weapons and (so far) 32 levels. It also has open-ended gameplay, which is still in progess.

In this mode, you start as an ensign aboard a small scout vessel, and must earn "respect" and "admiration" to progress through the ranks on board ship. Tasks vary with difficulty, but you must keep your character fed, rested, watered, etc. as well. Obviously, with it being a military vessel, food and accommodation cost nothing.

As a crew member, you get given orders, and have free time. There are also promotions that don't affect your rank, such as a promotion off the graveyard shift, or a promotion to bridge crew. You can use any console, although there are a few that bring up the menu but provide no function.

My character, at present a Lieutenant Commander and the weapons officer of the Galaxy-class ship USS Dauntless, earns skill points as well, which can be devoted to specific abilities, etc.

Basically, it's a Star Trek RPG. I doubt it will ever be published, as there are too many bugs and errors in it to make it playable right now.

I made this game on the Quake 3 engine, which the first game was made on. I "borrowed" some graphics from the second game, as well as some voice clips from both games to get genuine voices running in a lot of the game. Unfortunately, the open-ended mode features no "legendary" voices, and is instead the voices of willing on-line volunteers.

Meh. Anyway, that's about it.

I don't actually like most games. Anything that isn't first person or a strategy game I tend to dislike. ie. Anything where the camera floats behind the character like many console games. I have never found a game like that that I've played more than once. Probably because most console games have little replay value.

Mostly I just play anything that's pure multiplayer or mimics multiplayer. I used to be drawn a lot to very quick, intense gameplay.

- Quake 1 ate me first. Dueling people in quake was intense and the mods were hilarious and hours of addictive fun. Don't play it no more.

- Starcraft was probably my second and biggest obsession. Got absurdly good at that game. Don't play it no more.

- Quake 2 ate me next. A vast improvement and a vast increase in difficulty, also really intense. This game actually defines what tournament gaming is for me. I don't play it much anymore but I would if others did.

- Quake 3 and 4. Meeeh. They lack the skills that were present in 2, mostly because the maps aren't as good from what I've seen. 3 also lacks corner jumping and I don't think 4 has it either.

- Morrowind, elder scrolls. Best RPG ever hands down no competition kthxbye. My one and only complaint with the entire game: No ending. No real effect on the world. Getting a castle is cool, but god damn why can't I really change that shit hole island? I stopped playing it after I realized that. Also, Oblivion is shit.

- Warcraft 3. Kind of sequel to starcraft. Don't play it anymore. It was alright.

- Dota. A mod for warcraft 3 that EVERYONE plays online. It's really its own game and it's fun if stupid sometimes. Still play it.

- Counter Strike. Pretty good. Often lame. Still play it.

- Battlefield 2. Buggy as shit. Very frustrating often. But still fun. Still play it, but I'm waiting for Quake Wars to replace this nightmare of glitches.

I don't play anything on my computer, really. I bought Morrowind, but was bored within 20 minutes, sadly. I did buy Fable for my PC. I like walking around shooting arrows

I did get a game called Sanitarium that I actually *loved* for my PC. Very simple to play, and I enjoyed the entire story and all of the detail in the levels. Plus it was creepy...at least to a wimp like me.

I only own a PS2, and here's whay I (occasionally) play on it:

Destroy All Humans (Kill! Kill!)

Resident Evil 4 (didn't play for long, started to and then got distracted - I got my head chopped off pretty quickly by the good doctor)

Silent Hill 2&3 (Not much of either, a friend and I are going to sit down together one night just to play these games. I do know the plots for all 4 games inside and out, and I loved the movie)

Kingdom Hearts 1&2 (Honestly, I preferred the gameplay in 1 better and the fighting style in 2 better than 1. Less story, more killing, guys!)

Okami (My brother bought this for me on Christmas, and damn did I love this game. I couldn't stop playing it. It's gorgeous, and the story doesn't suck!)

I'm incapable of playing from 1st person perspective, no matter how lame the game, without getting horrible nightmares. Games like Doom and Bioshock are absolutely out of the question, although I love watching people play these games.

My weirdest trait in regards to video games is that I honestly love sitting and watching someone else play a video game. It's seriously one of my absolute favorite past-times. I grew up watching my brothers/Dad play video games, and sometimes playing with or along with them and rarely better than them. VERY rarely.

I find that people are hilarious when they play a video game. If they know they're being watched, they'll start to hold a constant and often freakin' awesome monologue. My oldest brother is the funniest.

I'm weird, I know.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I played it for seventeen continous hours, at one point.

It wins, at everything.

On the game front, I'm pretty much a lame-o. Which is sad because all my friends from the tech-oriented magnet school in my district have LAN parties, and I feel SO uncool for not going...

Starcraft is fun. If you get a bunch of nerds together in a computer lab, none of whom feel like doing the assignment and all of whom have Starcraft saved on their flashdrives...ah, the geekiness. And yes, I suck at it. Like, bad. Badbadbad. But it's fun, and there's always some guy who's willing to show you how bad you're screwing up and basically play for you.

Other than that, I don't play anything on more than a casual basis, except, like, Sims2...haha. What a girl, huh?

Yeah, me too. I've never actually played a video game (gasp!) myself, but I love watching people play them. They get so involved in the game, and try to turn the controller to make their character/whatever turn and it never works and then they start cussing out the TV... it's very amusing.

But now with the Wii, when they turn the controller the character/whatever actually does turn... and that's even funnier.

I love computer games. My love of them started with watching my dad play Quake and other FPSs. I play those a lot, like Doom III--that was fun (I'm too young to remember the other Dooms except a little from watching my dad)--and I continue to play Battlefield 2142. Whatever I can get my hands on, really

The genre that my dad doesn't play but that I like are RPGs, and for awhile I was addicted to MMORPGs but I've sworn off those. I don't know why, but I like annoying RPGs like Dungeon Siege, where you get sick of killing and can only stomach playing in spurts, and in-depth ones like Fable (on the PC though, I don't own an Xbox). Shooting random civilians with arrows is fun! >hides horns<

I also really liked SpellWars: The Order of the Phoenix, SpellWars 2, Warcraft & Starcraft, Thief 3, etc. I also play Sims--since the first one came out, actually--and it's fun because it's just like controlling little people. XD (Tons of sex mods if you know where to find them, too )

Also... Did anyone play Tribes II? Do you miss it, or what? I still wanna play that game! Vengeance just isn't as good at all! (T_T)
