So, I know we've been trying to move this along lately, but I've had (and still have) a crazy amount of schoolwork this week, so I don't think I'll get to posting until Friday. X.x

Sorry for the delay.

No worries, Myllis - things are rather insane here with Thanksgiving just around the corner, so I don't have time to post either! Good luck with studying etc.!

Alright peeps, I'm really sorry - I was hoping I'd have that post ready before the 5-day margin, but it has been absolutely insane here. I hope you don't mind waiting an extra couple of days - if it bothers you immensely, feel free to skip me...

Sorry, I tried to get it done. Really I did. *sigh*

Well, he skipped ahead of you last time, so I think it won't matter if you really want to get in there with a post. ;)

Frug brought up a concern, one that I happen to agree with, and one that I hear Merc and Millie also agree with. Where the hell are we going with all this?

And so I said to myself, Mister Scooter, I said, (that's me,) that maybe I should just do something so incredibly ornery that you guys just say "screw this blue ball" and bugger off. That way, you can go do your thing with that other thread, or whatever, and I can focus on getting Gizmo into a thread more suited to him. What do you say?

Ah yes, missing linkages has lead me to think "Hmmm. What IS she doing there?". Merc would feel some responsibility for the fairy, but would be fairly free to take off and do her own thing. Contrived groups bother me. However, if there really is strength in numbers, I have no qualms with continuing to RP with said group. That said, something definitely needs to happen. I have a sneaking suspicion that someone in the gathering crowd has already alerted the guard - and they are on their way. I would be willing to write their entrance, but mostly as nameless faces with bad attitudes (oh ho - the stereotyping!).

If we are splitting up, I suggest all involved start asking around to see if they can join in another SL (unless youse are all itching to write by your lonesomes).

So...bottom line...I agree? I think? Hang it all - why must I always confusify things?

;)

If I may add my input.

- 5 people is a lot. That's a full thread. Fitting a 6th person in is really pushing the limits of what is workable, so adding another element into the fray isn't really an option. I did offer to interject and mix things up but I don't remember seeing 6 people in one thread together ever. Also, Myllis has exams and Merc has a busy RL so that adds to the difficulty of numbers, things can't go fast.
- You're all helpful people who don't have any reason to fight or create conflict between each other, and there is no external conflict. On top of that, your characters don't know each other and so there isn't much to play off of in terms of social interaction and/or drama.

I think the best option is to break up the group. I have a possible opening for Myllis and/or Merc in Shim with Mei Li, Camulous, and Ree. You would be joining Mei as she learns about Marn and eventually encounter some trouble in the form of some battlemages. Gelden could come, up to you.

Garfane, I can find a role for you I think would be better, and that would be working with the likes of Kamar (soon to be a battlemage) Gia (werewolf) Devon (maybe soon to be battlemage) and Bela (vampire lord of foppish temperament).

Joe, I dunno about giz. I have confidence that you can find a place with him to appear in the future. I just dunno where to put that giant ball though.

Gelden is an entirely one-dimensional character. Her goals are the same as those around her because she really has no better idea anyway. So wherever Merc and/or Dae goes, she will follow.

sounds beefy to me, dudes'n'dudettes. I'm willing to put gizmo on the sidelines and leave him blue-balled until something fitting comes along.

Okay. I should also add that I dunno how long ree and cam would remain involved. In fact, their direct involvement is not necessary, but I did want cam to meet Mei. I'm still not sure where to go with the two lovebirds.
