Alright. If ya find a detective guard to replace Dray, I'll switch out with them. :) Research I don't think is Dray's thing and I'm not quite good at investigations yet. :P

(16:11:27) Saruna: so jason.... I propose that this current conversation sends mather out to do some sniffing around. When he doesn't return after two nights, Iarei bullies erryl into taking her to his place?
(16:12:27) Saruna: then we were going to do a middle thread with some character development with iarei and erryl if I remember right?
(16:16:42) Katona: Yes ma'am.

Mather, if circumstances permit you to post with us again in the future, we're leaving Mather's fate open to whatever circumstances you can come up with. Things can always be figured out!

Just for reference:

Koran is Erryl's brother and Sharanen is Koran's girlfriend. Sharanen's family know and work with Redcloud.

When Tal came to Marn, and wanted to find work, Redcloud introduced Tal to Sharanen's family, and Sharanen introduced Tal to Koran. Koran works as a builder, and helped Tal to get hired temporarily on the job they're currently doing somewhere in Marn.

When Erryl went missing, Koran was distressed and went to the guard, but the guard aren't quick to respond to reports of missing teenagers so Tal offered to help look for Erryl. Iarei convinced Erryl that they should go back to Erryl's house, where Erryl, Koran and Sharanen live, and on the way there, they run into Tal.

Because Koran would be incredibly worried and upset about Erryl's disappearance, Iarei and Erryl want to convince Tal to side with them in calming Koran down and making sure he doesn't know the extent of the actual problem.

Posted what I felt Koran would be like while Erryl was away, so if you disagree with what happened, I can always change it!

Just so it's clear, Koran and Erryl are effectively strict Puradynes so if either knows that Tal is a magic-user, it could lead to some trouble. Just thought I'd mention it in case you weren't sure! 8)

So Kit was talkin' in chat and mentioned that he still had to find a home for two of the Basilards. I thought of In for a Bishan and the two statues (why I hadn't before who knows), and suggested that we might replace one of the statues with a Basilard. Kit came up with the idea to have the statues linked to the Basilard instead, to draw in the users...

(19:44:09) Kitan: I'm thinking maybe they were built specifically for the basilards
(19:48:08) Kitan: If they are Eyropan in make, they were carved much later than the basilards
(19:48:49) Kitan: Like I said, they did have a Eyropan scout helping them at one point. If he carved them, he might have made them a homing beacon of sorts.
(19:49:14) Kitan: Sort of gradually influencing the people who hold them in the Basilard's direction
(19:54:45) Kitan: My only concern right now is that it's so mundane to serve as a compass. XD Not creepy or eldritch at all!
(19:54:52) Saruna: so the things themselves draw people to hold them, and the longer they're held the stronger the compulsion to find the basilard, and the better directed?
(19:55:08) Kitan: Yeah, probably
(19:55:21) Saruna: it could sorta act as the initial softening of the mind, preparing it to receive the basilard's presence
(19:55:30) Kitan: Ooooooh
(19:55:47) Kitan: Yeah, that's awesome
(19:56:27) (Semi-AFK Sertor): That is indeed awesome
(19:56:42) Kitan: Okay, we'll roll with that
(19:56:59) Kitan: Haha, maybe the boy could even become a semi-permenant host
(19:57:09) Kitan: Super creepy
(19:57:48) Kitan: Or the Jester, if you want Iarei to keep the boy
(19:57:58) Saruna: nah, boy is open for use
(19:58:01) Saruna: both of them are
(19:58:05) Kitan: Nyahaha
(19:58:06) Saruna: maybe they could become a dual host?
(19:58:10) Saruna: that could be creepy
(19:58:14) Kitan: Eh
(19:58:24) Kitan: The basilard could almost certainly not control two people at once
(19:58:30) Kitan: Even with mental softening
(19:59:02) Kitan: But either one, maybe.
(19:59:07) Saruna: hmm, so what happens when two different people each hold a figure?
(19:59:14) Saruna: they won't want to let it go
(19:59:22) Kitan: They are both guided to the Basilard
(19:59:27) Saruna: become a brainless follower?
(19:59:35) Saruna: like not even doing anything
(19:59:41) Kitan: Maybe?
(19:59:44) Saruna: just sorta. . .following like a zombie
(19:59:51) Kitan: Yeah... that could work
(20:00:09) Kitan: A possessed boy with a braindead jester following him around
(20:00:16) Saruna: heheheh
(20:00:27) Kitan: That sounds really really creepy and awesome
(20:00:27) Saruna: maybe he could have her do tricks when he gets bored?
(20:00:38) Kitan: Oh that is great XD
(20:00:39) Saruna: except she'd be really lame at them now
