I’m wondering about the options for how to go on.

Should we have a discussion about the IC goals for the characters?

Renée’s goal with going to the shop was to get indoors and also avoid her new self-appointed fiancé, constable Quirke. When Brokk arrived, the goal for her discussion with the saleswoman became business, so she’ll want to keep her potential new supplier for business now and later. An immediate goal for her right now is to get the window repair paid by others.

Guesses at Brokk’s goals. Brokk's reason to turn up was that Renee had given her the address and kind of invited her to come there and show more of her wares for sale. It seems Brokk’s goal is to sell, sell, sell and make money, at once or later, so she wants to keep her potential customer ? More goals is to save her own skin and avoid getting in trouble with guards ?

I'm not able to speculate so much about Manuel’s reasons goals IC yet, but somehow I'm under the impression his IC reason to be there is that he wanted to find Brokk, and his IC goal with finding Brokk is that he wants to ... ? What is his IC goal ? Is he there because he was impressed by Brokk's sales methods, so his goal is to learn from her? Or did he think she was in league with the city guards and told on him, so his goal is revenge for this ? Or did he think of her as a fellow street seller, so his goal is to ask her for help with clothes and money? Or did he just suddenly feel a need to fight and picked Brokk as his random victim, so his goal is to have a brawl ? Or is it something totally else he's after?

Yes, Brokk is very much on the 'money might be made in the short and the long term here' train at the moment, because the nature of her work and her status as an outsider makes it difficult to get legitimate contracts with merchants in the city. So if she were to secure a status as a supplier to a titre, others might be less wary of buying from her publicly. She does a lot of business with them as it is, but it tends to be under the table, high risk stuff.

In the short term, I think the Guard might show up, if only to either a) pester renee, or 2) investigate the screaming, so we'll have a game of hide and seek going on in the shop. :P

Longer term, we could try setting up a trade caravan for the mood cloth, since that helpful little old gnome sincerely wants a safer environment to practise his craft. :P

Like Renee put it, Manuel's main reason for being there is to find Brokk. His ic reason for finding Brokk was to learn from her regarding to trade and guards, and to also trade with her, mainly in snake venom.
The fact that he ended up next to Renee was an interesting coincidence for him, as she may be able to help him with his wounds.
Finally he wants his clothes and money that the guard took back, and since it seems that Brokk knows how to handle guards, he put two and two together.
He is rather annoyed with the guards at the moment now, and has no intention of co-operating with them if they do turn up.

Say, the house we're in. What is it made off? Wood? Stone?
How new is it? Is it well maintained?

I had a look at the setting : Marn has grown and flourished into a city complete with electricity, plumbing, a theater, and many other amenities because it has benefited from the unique and highly successful cooperation of humans, elves and gnomes. By collaborating efforts between the three races, efficient and productive construction and fabrication techniques have kept the isolated city quite modern by the standards of Pal Tahrenor.

On the pictures it look like the houses are made of brick, or brick/stone with plaster. The shop is located at the main street and I have always imagined it to look much the other houses there, one of a number of houses built together in a row. So I think it would be brick/stone and the standard would be normal Marn standard. It's reasonalby well maintained. Seeing that Marn is quite modern I guess there ought to be some kind of ventilation system ^^
