Hi there! There's already been some mention of gypsie-like peoples traveling here and there in character. My suggestion would be to have your post in character applications moved to "World Development" where it's a little more obvious. Jasmina has a belly dancing character from a clan of "Travelers" that are written much like the Roma, but other than her I can't think of anyone directly derived from that sort of culture. I do like the idea of developing them as a culture, but you'll have to work with what's already been said about them as you develop it further.

Appreciated, and I'll move the post to the WD board - that does make more sense.

I thought there might be a few of these ideas floating around already, so I'll also post an update to address those. I don't plan for the Roam to be the ONLY traveller-types around, although I suppose anyone unfamiliar might get them confused.

It will all make a bit more sense once I post a character description, but that's not for now.

I think it is a good idea -- expansive without stepping on anyone's toes. Glad to see you thinking and plotting already, and I look forward to seeing your continued development. Welcome to Thar!

Hey, there! I'm the new kid on the block. Well, one of them at least.

The name's Ever, and I play Chesslin Camere. I'm looking (eagerly) to start a plot with someone.

Chess is starting out in Shim. He works as the herbalist's apprentice, and practices magic in secret (shhh don't tell), but he has started planning ways to get out of the small town and head over to Marn to start a real life, probably with the underground mage guilds. Basically, he's a 19 year old with innate and secret magical abilities consumed by the desire to learn more about his magic. Anyone in or around the area of Shim who would be interested in starting a plot and/or building relationships with my boy?

Just submitted a character who is an herbalist, some years out of apprenticeship. (she's 24) Her magic isn't secret (though not advertised, either) and has an interest recently in going to Marn. A family matter - relatives she's never met - possibly some pay involved.

Assuming I get a pass from the mods in the near-ish future, I'd be willing to bandy some ideas with you. Surely, we'd know each other already, and probably studied under the same master. (likely they took you on after I finished, or there may have been some overlap) And this character definitely won't want to travel solo.

I was randomly browsing the web for more fantasy rps. My running ground is Elefor, which has been alive for year, but never really took off.
