I think it would be a bit tedious to do a shot-by-shot post rotation, so I'd like to propose a general rule of just auto-ing pool playing until something critical comes up.
In all likelihood, I will be a bit slow on this one unless I feel really compelled to procrastinate with my real work instead of my posting.
Also, I was thinking of having Zapar be in the bar (in disguise). Or Morax (not in disguise). Opinions? I don't want to throw any wrenches in the works of your longer-term plans for this hustling, but I don't think that it makes sense for Morax to send Daq on this 'errand' without supervision, given how much effort he's invested in him and how little he trusts Pagusel (not to mention given the ultimate plot 'arc' I've considered for Morax even bothering to resurrect Daq).

Sounds good to me. I also have NPCs watching Pagusel, but they're not so much plot-arc based as . . . scene based? Shouldn't mess anything up, though, if you want to also shake things up.

Strange idea--what if the middle-aged man was Zapar in disguise?

STFU that would be SO sexy.
But yeah, totally! Definitely an up-for-grabs NPC.
In the next few posts I'll bring in an NPC or two that I have specific plans for. But please, do you worst with the short guy!

You know, I was just going back to Priscilla's profile to review what I have written about Zapar, and I realized there was NOTHING.
So, here's a piece of the updated profile that I wrote for my brief tenure at VZ. I'll go through the process here a bit later, so these details aren't exactly approved yet. I wanted you to have some more description to go off of, since Zapar's whole angle will be trying to shake Pagusel off of her game by distracting her.
Zapar
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 173
Appearance: Zapar’s preferred form is a tall, fit man in his late twenties. His dark hair, sharp features and ice-blue eyes give him the sort of cruel yet attractive look that more superstitious folk associate with vampires. Unlike a vampire, though, he appears suffused with a violent vitality, evidenced by the flush that appears in his cheeks from time to time and the healthy, pink color of his full lips. He most often wears clothes that expose as much of his porcelain-white skin as is socially acceptable. He always wears at least one red article of clothing or accessory.
Powers:
Allure: Zapar is regarded by most as almost dazzlingly attractive in his natural form. His skin has a pleasant, almost electric feeling to the touch, and he gives off a tantalizing pheromone with the subtle smell of old roses.
Glamer: Zapar can perform changes to his attire and appearance. Almost subconsciously, he can determine and assume the form of a person with whom someone has had a strong emotional connection. He has no knowledge of this person other than their appearance and names, and he cannot communicate this information to anyone else. Though he has no idea of or conscious control over the emotions his target associates with the form he is assuming, he seems to have a knack for picking positive emotions over negative ones.
Sap Vitality: Anyone who willingly sleeps with Zapar experiences negative effects afterward. This can range from weakness to infertility depending on the level of seduction and the number of times that person has had relations with Zapar.
Weaknesses:
Vanity: Zapar becomes frustrated when people do not demonstrate an attraction to him. If someone says something that belittles him or comments negatively about his appearance, he will likely relinquish his control over Priscilla and refuse to manifest.
Red: Fascinated with the color red, Zapar must have at least one red object visible on his person at all times.
Cowardice: Out of concern for his general well-being (and his good looks in particular), Zapar is reluctant to engage in activities that put him in immediate danger.
Lust: Zapar is constantly thinking of things in sexual terms. He would argue that he is in full control of his actions, but his obsession with sex has a strong hold over him. Zapar is hard-pressed to go without flirting, seduction, and sex for any extended period of time.

Working on a post over a few days . . . I'm not used to writing Pagusel on uppers, so it's giving me a bit of trouble. I'll get it done soon!

I volunteered time that I didn't exactly have this week, so things are pretty busy. I am hoping to post either tomorrow or sometime over the weekend.
Sorry!

No worries! My girlfriend's aunt and uncle are going to be in town for a week (stopping here on an Asia tour) starting this weekend, so I'll be pretty busy coming up, too.

So, Zapar's invoking his ability to sense whatever it is that might get under Pagusel's skin now that she has cleared most of the drug from her system.
I'll leave it up to you to provide the description of what shape he's going to assume, and you're free to determine how well he reads her. If you think he should do particularly badly, he might just assume a form that looks a lot like the new Daq. Less badly would probably be assuming the appearance of old Daq, and if he did really well, he could dredge up the form/name of someone meaningful from Pagusel's past.

So, basically the two people who would affect Pagusel most deeply would be her former lover or her former child ward, and since Zapar's obsessed with sex I assume he wouldn't take on the form of the non-sex-object child, and since he's also incredible vain, I played it off like he wouldn't even think of assuming the form of a developmentally retarded guy.
So I put him through two forms, obviously--the one of her former boss, who she wasn't going to let faze her, and then original Daq. Also in the post, all the times I refer to "Daq" are actually Zapar.

Oh, and also if I got anything glaringly wrong about Zapar's behavior or the nature of his changing ability, let me know so I can edit!

I need to stop getting myself involved in insane extracurricular activities. Another very weird week. Also the Chinese government moved the weekend from Saturday and Sunday to Monday and Tuesday this week. BECAUSE THEY CAN. So I had a stupid 7-day week . . . and I'll post in the morning!!

Sorry for taking so long. I've been trying to think up a clever way of circumventing the roadblock Pagusel created.
