I figured something like that might happen. It gives you plenty of rp room with her emotions (Saruna's an extremely impressive character, btw; it takes real skill to play a relatively ordinary lady as an actual person with depth, IMO), and gives Derin a convenient place to stay based on exercising her practically nonexistent social skills.

Given their personalities, this relationship could be... interesting.

If you guys are still looking for a magic user for this thread, I told Syn to check it out and talk with you guys about it. He's been looking for a thread so that he can get back into rp and I think this one could be a good one for him.

Thank you for the compliments Derin, you make it so very easy to play Saruna. XD Honestly I didn't know if I would even enjoy the character, but the interplay between them makes for great contrast. I love in particular how Derin always has those little asides about how people normally act. XD It really drives home just how different she really is.

Oh, and I talked to Syn and he said he is interested in joining the thread. He says he'll be making a new character. I told him we'll probably be ready for anotehr character ina couple weeks. . .with our rate of posting as it is and the conversation where it is, I think by then the two should be arriving in Marn.

Oh awesome, that's going to be so much easier than trying to NPC a random magic-user.

You know, I couldn't remember what Derin's actual history was so I checked out her character sheet, and I want to say that you'd totally made me think she was some kind of human. XD I was so confused at that part with her history cuz I was like "wait, what part of it is fake?" . . .all of it!

Kudos for that, you play her very well.

Bwaha, I wasn't actually sure if you'd read her character sheet or not, although I figured you probably had because you were hinting at how different she is earlier. Watching her and Saruna misinterpret each other is like watching a train wreck in slow motion, except with rather less chance of casualties. This pair is hilarious.

I'm a little concerned that she seems to have gotten the hang of relating to Saruna so quickly though; she's supposed to have horrible social skills. I think I should step up the social clumsiness a bit more.

And to be fair, Derin's fake story may have holes, but it does explain some of her noble manners training and the physical condition of her farmwoman's body that's been through pregnancy; it's *kinda* similar to parts of the truth...

hahaha, that'll be awesome if Derin gets more awkward. Saruna simply cannot believe ill of most people, not unless they do something incredibly heinous, and even then she'd be willing to think it was a mistake. It is pretty damn funny, these two XD

Hanser is an npc, but it is about now that they should be bumping into Syn. Let me shoot him a pm to see if he's still interested in helping out. . .if not we'll have to figure out our route. -_-

Haha, I'm just glad you're still around Syn. So Derin, would we like to wait for Syn to get his char approved before we do any more posting? That way too you can focus on your moving for another week and not have to think about getting a post up just yet. Then maybe we could give the next post to Syn and then I'll go after that.
