Sorry about how long that took me to get a post out. I've been extremely sick since Tuesday night, and have only felt well enough to concentrate since this morning.

Hopefully things will go faster from now on. :(

I was also busy so no sweat (^_^; ) I actually have classes with consistent Internet connection now so it should be much swifter on my end for the next month. Well, except for around Halloween.

FYI, Maeve is using her Charm/Mesmerize spell on Benjamin (and slightly Sandwheel but only for a quick moment). Without her cloak but with her charm bracelet it'll be only a little potent compared to what she's capable of naturally, but they should at least feel something; whether they are convinced or not depends on how easily convinced they are by magic and mind tricks.

yeah, I picked up on that, but Benjamin's an old hand at that sort of stuff, what with being employed by an tricksterous magical bitch, and for many years, at that.

...and Sandwheel is just a talking badger, no shifter. of course, it might be a natural assumption for Maeve to make.

Oh. ...Why in the world would a badger need a weapon? That's why I assumed it was a shifter.

And I don't expect Benjamin to be like "ok whatever you say" but it'll at least color his perception of her a little, unless he actively stops himself from liking her.

well, it is a rather human badger. probably a charm or something, I dunno. haven't thought that far ahead. but he's a rather Narnia-esque being, let's say. that's the closest thing I can compare Sandwheel with.

and yeah, I was gonna give Maeve some heavy props for her powers in my next post, but it won't be like "oh, let me lick your feet!" Benny's definitely got his head on straight when it comes to stuff like this.

I think you should make him a shifter... Because a badger shifter would be cool. But it's up to you. (Maeve would still assume a talking badger is a shifter so I can't really change my post.)

Sounds good...

yeah, I know Maeve thinks he's a shifter. Just thought I'd make sure Maeve's player knew otherwise.

And yeah, a badger shifter would be cool, but I think Sandwheel is just gonna be a badger. He's got his badger family, he lives in a burrow, the whole nine yards, so it just makes sense that way.

I need information, before I post. Ice, is Maeve consciously directing her powers towards Benjamin and Sandwheel, or is it sort of an all-encompassing area, and Chezak would be caught up with it as well? Maybe not as strongly? Or not at all?

Thanks, I'll post ASAP after the answer, but probably not tomorrow. Wheeee! Halloooooweeeeeen!

No, her charm spell is only direct. She's pointing it at Benjamin. For a second, when she looked at Sandwheel, it would have been directed at him... But it's negligible. Chezak shouldn't be affected at all. Only Hypnotic Aura is an area of effect (and that only happens when she's happy in some form or another and usually without her magic objects).

He will, however, notice how sweet-sounding her voice is and how nice she's suddenly acting; which is completely different than what she was like before. :|

And YAY! Halloween! Have fun :)

Chezak, if you post today, I might be able to get a post in before I go to Prague. Otherwise, I'd really appreciate it if you guys waited for me to get back, even though I know it's a few days' wait. I promise I'll post as soon as I get back!
