Salutations!

My name is Kyle, I am happily married and I have joined this site in the quest of quality role play and rehabilitating my own quality of role play. I have created the character Matthias and am looking to soon begin involving him in a good story. I look forward to crafting stories with everyone together.

Hi, my name is Cole and I created the character Danal Church. I am 20 years old and have been studying to become a Human Intelligence Collector for the U.S. Army. Which hopefully will happen soon er then later. I sold cars for a good while but was recently laid off and unemployment is sky high here so I spend most of my days working on random things to earn some extra money.(I started building a Jungle Gym for 3 kids today hahah.)

Writing anything and everything is what I like to do in my spare, spare time. This is a completely different writing environment and I look forward to being able to see what I can bring to the table.

HUMINT? Then, you're going to go to the 35M school out at Ft Huachuca?

I think so, somewhere in Arizona. I remember thinking it was in Japan so ya that's probably it.

I went to Ft Huachuca, AZ for 6 months for my own military training. Beautiful place, take your time to enjoy the Sierra Vista Mountains and if you can, head up into Phoenix or see Tombstone. It gets cold at night and hot during the day (+100 degrees to below freezing) so be careful, it was one hell of an experience for me.

Hey everyone! My tag is Simon, and my only character on the board is Simon Fletcher. I used to write pretty heavily on a few forums, but life became a little hectic (school, moving, new job, etc), so I had to put it on hold.

This looks like a great site! I'm very excited to actually start writing again, and especially with such a select and talented group of people (it seems like a lot of these boards turn into just "arena's" with more focus on fighting than character development/exposition - so it's safe to say I'm pretty happy with the writings I've been seeing here).

So... yeah! If you need a writing buddy, or someone to fill a spot in one of your stories, please don't hesitate to drop me a line!

Thanks again for having me!

Hidey ho there, bucko. Always good to rehabilitate people back into writing. I enjoyed reading your app and look forward to seeing whatever hijinks your character gets into. Getting into a thread at Thar can take some time depending on how full all the threads are and what characters are available. We strongly recommend pming other members with characters who aren't in threads or pming members in threads you're interested in joining.

Welcome to Thar, and nice to meet you!

Hello everybody!

I randomly came across Thar Shaddin whilst trawling the depths of the internet and I was sucked in straight away. I'm an amateur writer and aspiring novelist, but I am an RP virgin so please take it easy when you break me in ;)

I'm not one for planning out plots, I tend to just let things unfold. I feel that sponteneity is much more part of creativity than organisation is. I'm probably the most unorganised person you'll ever meet - my bedroom is testament to that, the only thing with even a vague semblance of order is my bookcase!

So if there's anyone else out there like me, someone that likes to just go with the flow, I think it would be much easier for me to have my first taste of RP with you. Please give me a shout, even if you just want to talk to me, see what makes me tick. My character, Alaïs Kellyn, is yet to be approved but I'm pretty sure that she will be.

I know the community here is small but I'm pretty easygoing so I'm hoping I can fit in here.

Here's to having fun,

Katie
(Alaïs)

Hello Katie and welcome to Thar.

Ree really likes your character and I don't see any reason not to approve of it, so I'll go ahead and do that now. As for joining a thread and posting with somebody, the best advice I can give you is for you to be active about looking for a partner. Don't sit back and wait for others to come to you looking to start something, you need to dive into our boards and meet people. You should post in the Available for Plots thread, you should check out a few plot discussions, read some ongoing threads, check out a few characters and send PMs to various members asking them to write with you. The more you put yourself out there the more attention you will gain and you will have an easier time finding a partner.

You can also meet people and get to know various members here by simply hanging out in chat.
