I suppose it's about time I stopped lurking these forums and started posting. Erryl and Niabi already know me, but for the rest of you, my name is [[[CENSORED]]] and I'm a [[[CENSORED]]] from [[[CENSORED]]]. I think I was 14 or 15 when I first started roleplaying. It was done over MSN with a girl I met at an improvisation class, which is probably why my perception of dating is so skewed.

I'm not attracted to fantasy for its magical or mythological qualities so much as I am interested in its potential as a portrait of the human condition. The issues of xenophobia and corruption are what I believe make the realm of Thar Shaddin interesting, and might allow us to explore deeper dilemmas of humanity.

I have yet to post my character application, as I am waiting to correspond with a few other members, in hopes to properly integrate a character into the ongoing mythology. Detail's of Isaac's history involve other characters of Thar Shaddin, and I need approval from all involved before I finalize the application.

So far I've just been reading up on the threads and character sheets. If there are any in particular you think I should read, send me a link!

EDIT: I often edit my posts like crazy, as I'm never completely satisfied with my sentence structure.

Editing posts is fine, just don't go back and change a post after another person has posted and make something they respond to in their post not fit because you have changed the original content of the post.

Yeah... new to the site, not writing. My name's Kyle, I've been writing for over 10 years, been on a different rp site for 8 (one of two admins of that site for the last 2+ years). I'm 23 in just over a month, former military police, currently enrolled in school -still-, a philosophy major, and... umm... that's about it that I can think of. Cool place you got here.

Aer, you play on other sites? Be warned; Thar Shaddin will greatly raise your standards. You will lose your tolerance for those who cannot tell first from third person or use quotation marks. I tried going back to my old rp sites when I was bored and it was like playing with illiterate gerbils trying to write self-insert fanfic.

Not that I'm elitist or anything. But I assume your normal place is good if you mod there, since you're obviously literate, and thus the point is moot.
