Excellent. Sorry about the post wait, was busy being sick. Head colds suck when trying to use your brain for thinking. At least now it's only a sinus cold. :(

I made the path a little wider than you indicated in your post, Breda, but I don't think that it's so much wider that you would need to change your post.

As for Aura stepping in front, she's feeling kind of protective of the pregnant dwarf, as evidenced by the hand on the boat, and now her reaction to being confronted by a strange man on a seldom used path that only leads to the cottage, in a forest where, as she said, only ruffians usually traverse. ;)

I'm sorry Talofen, but I have to ask: Why do you write the speech in bold? Because it kind of makes me think that he is booming to the girls like King Richard IV in The Black Adder. :P

Just a minor thing I picked up writing on another site, if that means something else here, I can certainly alter it.

I don't think it has any specific meaning in Thar. We go with the usual writing conventions, and bold tends to suggest emphasis of some kind. Your choice, I suppose.

Should we skip him?

It may be a matter of someone joining during the winter, and realizing that with school and the three day demands here, they can't keep up. Happens a lot, actually... and often to me. He hasn't been online since his last post on Jan 14, so for 10 days.

We could skip him this time, and if he hasn't posted by 4-5 days later, I guess we auto him out of the thread.

I'm not really going to have time to post until Thursday. So he has until then before we skip him this round.

So I've posted. I left it open, and it seems fair that we could take a couple of turns discussing him. There are two suggestions in there, one to send him on his way, which we can auto him out of the thread with if he doesn't come back to the site, and one to get to know him a bit better, before deciding on letting him stay the evening.

Hopefully he'll be back soon. According to his stats on his character page, he hasn't been online in nearly two weeks.

Sorry about the short post, I'm working on my thesis presentation.

People always go AWOL on us.

Are we going to stick to the original plan regarding the Rebellion plotline anyway? We could tie the appearance of the rebel to Talofen's short cameo.

Also, there is currently the wreckage of a carriage on the path from Shim to Marn, leftover from another thread. There could be someone inspecting it, separate from the Guard, or spying on it waiting to see what the Guard is doing (could even be one of the reporters from the Paragon).

Kat and I talked about how we could become associated with the rebellion. The wagon idea works, but since we're already on the path to the cabin, it would have to be the next day that Aura and Breda made the discovery.

However, there was talk of the printing press used by the rebellion being in an underground bunker-like place, and the empty cabin would make a perfect front for it. It might be that Aura has never been unfortunate enough to come to the cabin when the bunker has been in use, and perhaps this time ... it IS in use.

Some food for thought.

I like the bunker idea. There's probably more to draw from than in the wagon idea. Also, we'll get there sooner. *impatient* :P

So I assumed we're going with the bunker idea. :P If not, I can delete my post and write something else.

Nah, you're fine. I'm fairly certain we're still going with the bunker idea. I'll run it by Kat in a bit, and if there are any changes, we'll let you know.

I won't be posting until Thursday, btw. I have a midterm tomorrow night, so I'll be spending most of the next two days studying up.
