And Maeve is not going to worry about whether Chezak gets one. To be honest she meant to include him in her little speech in order to soften her obvious greed in the whole thing. But in actuality she doesn't care what he does in the matter.

Aaaand I will do a post today, once I can. I'll just make up what magic I think suits Maeve but isn't too powerful. I suppose if you think it is inappropriate you can have Ben be like "whoops, not that one!" or something...

I'm next in the round, but it seems like Maeve and Chezak are about to leave and the story waits for Chezak's reply, so if they go now, I'll wait to write until they leave OK?

dianelopa is outside, so at the moment there is no interaction with any of the others. I think you should respond to Chezak and send them on their way. Once they are out, Dianelopa will see them go and come back. I was wondering if Thad should appear again now, but was deciding against it, thinking that we wanted to get on to the next stage of the story. What do you think?

I guess Maeve and I will start a new thread ... once I figure out where she's gone to. I suppose you guys can continue on, and Maeve can either start the new thread, or, once I figure out if she's still going to join me, I can start the new thread...

What do you suggest we do? Did you want to roleplay all that inn stuff? Maeve is going to find a place to crash, and after that it's rather open. Once she's feeling better she'll want to travel around the city and try to meet some people, see what they know about any power items in the ruins. This might bring her to the Shanty town. She'd probably have Chezak stick with her with the excuse he knows his way around since he's been here before. She'd probably ask him some questions, too. So we could start with them hunting around, if you'd like. Or they could be at the inn, chatting...

I think it'd be nice to roleplay them getting to the inn, Maeve pretty much crashing as soon as they get a room, and then picking up at breakfast in the morning. What do you think?

Lopa, I can't make a reply until she comes back through the grate, and down the hall to the Parlor. I wrote in my last post that Dianelopa showed herself again. Oh, and am I playing Thad now?

I guess I'm not picturing the place quite right. Because I thought with the grate being open and Dianelopa standing there with her shadow reaching into the parlor, she was close enough. I guess she's not. Maybe we need maps of where we are. But from what you say, I guess there's a hall which makes it impossible for Benjamin to see Dianelopa or her shadow until she's in the parlor or even to hear her when she calls?
I didn't necessarily mean that the noise D. heard was Thad. It could be some other danger. We can decide on that. I know you have a lot to play and making you play Thad might be too much. Do you want to? There is a certain amusement in not knowing what the other character will do in any encounter.

oh yeah, minor detail. the layout was mentioned earlier on in the thread. no biggie hehe. just wasn't sure where you were going with it. Tell you what, why don't we just bend time a little and say D and T are still outside. I'll play Thad for the next post or two until that wraps up, and then according to my last post, it has to end with D coming back into the Parlour. That could mean that Thad is behind her, or that he has left by that point.

I'll try to get a post up soon. Been sleepless and working my butt off these days.
