Cody didn't blame Drake for it being a girl, obviously he hadn't known. He snorted trying to relieve some of the fear he felt racing inside of him. He imagined he looked pretty stupid to Drake, being worked up over seeing a person who had hardly noticed him.
So....what if this wizard was also a woman? Cody sighed, the problem with being scared of a gender was that it is quite hard to stay away from the thing that scares you. Maybe he should have chosen to be scared of her scent, hair color, height...why did he have to decide to be scared of the gender?

Cody nodded his head meekly to Drake's question. At least now they could get out of the city and back to the woods for a while. "Sure..." His heart picked up his tempo slightly at the thought of going out of the city again, this time evading fear for some excitement. Yes...this was a good idea after all.

Cody managed somehow to walk with Drake outside of the city. Now that he had it in his head to get outside and an urge to run it was rather hard to keep at a slow pace. He imagined however that Drake's idea of a low profile did not include running full tilt outside of the city.

"Hey Drake..." Cody paused not sure how to phrase this, "uhm....I'd kind of like to go a bit faster...uhm I don't think you could keep up." Cody looked off in the direction they were suppose to go weighing his options. "If you can ride, and you don't kick me or anything..." He turned his head to look curiously at Drake. "if you don't kick...I'll let you on." Well that was somewhat a bluff...if someone got on Cody's back he'd have to let them be on, Cody didn't really get to decide. He had learned bucking wasn't allowed after all, still he wanted it to be known this was with his permission.
Cody tossed the cloak over a near by branch, then it was suddenly a horse that was regarding Drake where a person had once been. His ears were pricked forward giving Drake his full attention. It had been a while since he'd had a rider, and now he was actually offering to allow a person on. He was kind of nervous, but he was pretty sure this was a good idea.

"Well," Drake hesitated. It had been a while since he had ridden a horse and wasn't sure if he remembered how. "As long as you're alright with it," he said, finally.

He walked up to Cody's horse form and placed his hands on top of the warm fur. It was very soft to the touch. Cautiously, he lifted himself up onto his friend's back. Once he was on top his legs tightened and his hands rested on the top edges of the shoulders. He was quite proud of this little feat of muscle memory.

"Well, what are you waiting for?"
