Ask the Admin
Please note that if you ask Frug a question that is already answered in the setting (fun fact for new members: the setting is actually a wiki, and the sidebar on the left has a little search bar at the bottom) you are giving everyone permission to mock you. They will. Trust me. Everyone here is mean.
That aside, this is the thread to ask questions that require our admin, Frug, to answer. So if you ask one of the mods and they redirect you, or if it's something specifically for Frug, just slap it into here.
If there was something else we were going to do with this thread I forget because I was drunk.

I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but you are clearly unarmed.

Due to logistical questions about troll breeding with other races and the dangers therein, is troll genitalia proportionate to troll sizes?
Re: Ask the Admin
Approximately all of them. All of the castles.Three wrote:(Only needing an approximate value here)…about how many castles CAN you devour in a single bite?
I've always assumed it was pretty much proportionate. Obviously this is unpleasant in many ways, but trolls are unpleasant.Shivster wrote:Due to logistical questions about troll breeding with other races and the dangers therein, is troll genitalia proportionate to troll sizes?

How much barley would you add to your rye to make your bread taste better?

About 2/3 rye to barley mixture will likely give the best taste.Niabi wrote:How much barley would you add to your rye to make your bread taste better?

Is there a code to wrap text around an image within a thread post? I want to include a small photo of my character in the character application.

Re: Ask the Admin
I added a code for floating images to the left or right of text as per Ree's question above.
Put [left]or [right] tags around the image tags like this:
[left][img]http://www.tharshaddin.com/images/tharshaddin-title.png[/img][/left]
Will "float" the image to the left. [right] also works.

Re: Ask the Admin
So, I was brainstorming a character, and thought it would be a cool idea...
So two groups are fighting, ect ect. Killing each-other, stealing, and whatnot, my character in question being in one of those groups. Now, my character and another individual have a vendetta against one another, but in the midst of trying to kill each other, my character is killed by another member of the opposing force. The man in question trying to kill my character gets upset, and attempts to use a ritual to bring him back to life, only for a short period of time, maybe several years at most, just so he can kill my character personally. Now, as you can guess, that doesn't work out. My character manages to survive, and go about his merry way with his already rather short lifespan...
Is this possible?

Re: Ask the Admin
I don't see why not. As long as it's not making your character overpowered in some way (it doesn't seem to be) or silly or impossible to play with others.
As far as things possible in the setting go, yeah, that sort of thing can happen to people.

Mention has been made of East Eyropan Puradynes. Would it be reasonable for some of them to immigrate to Marn out of a fleeing persecution and/or religious pilgramage type scenario, and how would foriegn puradynes be recieved as compared to your average outsider?

Re: Ask the Admin
Someone asked me today if there were public baths in Marn.
I think there should be! I also found this for historical reference from the ever accurate Wikipedia:
"The history of public baths begins in Greece in the sixth century B.C.," where men and women washed in basins near places of exercise, physical and intellectual. Later gymnasia had indoor basins set overhead, the open maws of marble lions offering showers, and circular pools with tiers of steps for lounging. Bathing was ritualized, becoming an art – of cleansing sands, hot water, hot air in dark vaulted "vapor baths," a cooling plunge, a rubdown with aromatic oils. Cities all over Ancient Greece honored sites where "young ephebes stood and splashed water over their bodies."

How often is magic looked for by the scryer/seers? Is it just active use? Does it take time for them to figure out where the use was?
How does this whole looking for magic use work anyway?
