Re: Thieving Standards
Half an hour's worth of sneaking and a few suggestions planted in the guards' subconscious minds saw Lily walking away from her store, a bag slung over one shoulder on a canvas strap. The bag, securely buttoned shut, smelled like overfarmed dirt and bitter herbs, though anyone close enough to notice...

Re: Introduce Yourself!
No kidding. I'm disabled Air Force currently living in Florida. Some advice for your upcoming deployment: If a mortar lands within about a hundred feet of you, you're gonna get knocked around. Get your head looked at. One of my buddies got his brains rattled pretty good, and he's got some problems b...

Re: Thieving Standards
Lily's smirk widened. "Agreed. I'll see you in a bit, boys." With that, Lily stepped back away from the roof's edge, out of view. Gauruk snarled once, and followed. Once out of earshot, Lily turned to Gauruk and spoke quietly. "Sweetie, I want you to follow Prettyboy. I don't trust him any farther t...

Re: Place for establishments
We can add Vaspar Herbalism to the list. Lily's store is in the Business district, and sells herbal medicines and folk remedies, in addition to questionably legal creations after normal shop hours.

Re: Thieving Standards
Lily smirked. "That sounds like it would work. I can probably sneak into my shop without the guards seeing me and collect the ingredients. Though framing two people will be harder than framing just one. So Prettyboy, do you or your friend have any thieves in mind that we could plant the gems and ing...

Re: Thieving Standards
Gauruk and Lily had made good time crossing the city. Gauruk had, at least. Lily just held on as the troll bounded across rooftops, avoiding the city guard. The scent had led them past a jewelers', crawling with guards and an irate fat man, probably the robbed owner. From there, it led to a small ho...

Re: Thieving Standards
Atop a clocktower, Gauruk dug his ragged nails into the wooden beams and smelled the air. "Lily, did der dog-guy buy der knockout stuff? 'Cause sumthin' smells like cooked wolfsbane an' anise. Stinks sumthin' bad, like he used der whole bottle." Shifting in the breeze like an oak tree, Gauruk panned...

Good, you recognize the band. It's a weird sound isn't it? Like Fiddler on the Roof meets Metalica. I've got a copy of the survival guide, which is part of the reason I prefer the hatchet. It's multipurpose.

Re: Where'd your name come from?
I. Like. Zombies. I've got my zombie survival kit and everything. And a word of advice, crowbars don't make as good a head-smashing weapon as you'd think. They're kinda unbalanced, and tire your arms out. Hatchets are better. As for my characters, Lily and Gauruk, I sort of picked Lily's name out of...

Re: Thieving Standards
Sunrise found Lily curled next to Gauruk in the gigantic bed she had convinced a carpenter to make for the troll's bulky frame. The heavy, insistant pounding on the door below woke her with a start. One petite elbow in Gauruk's chest woke him, and even as he was blinking the sleep from his eyes, Lil...

Re: Thieving Standards
As Kaleb was making himself the richest thief in the city, Lily was closing up shop. Two vials of pox medicine, the man with dog problems, and one buffoon who wanted a love potion but got bounced on his head instead. Not a bad after-hours crowd, and between that and the legitimate side of the busine...

Re: Thieving Standards
Lily hummed while she worked. It was a jaunty tune, and seemed an odd counterpoint to the methodical nature with which she ground, grated, cruched, and heated leaves and mushrooms. The preparation took a few minutes, and ended with Lily carefully spooned the gritty paste into small pouch of cheesecl...

[Race] Tus'gkor [REJECTED]
The Tus’gkors are a race of humanoid creatures native to temperate forests across the continent. In their own language, their name means “Teeth People,” though most intelligent races refer to them by their more common nickname: Tuskers. Given the quasi-religious significance the Tus’gkor place on th...
