Re: Long Walk to Nowhere
Is it some kind of festival going on? Skimming the last three pages of posts is telling me *something* is happening, but I'm not really sure what.

Re: A Terrible First Impression
Yay! Make it somewhere in Marn, and Ischia's in. She totally needs a drink after footing it from bumfuck Egypt or wherever the hell she was. And I can't drop off my package to Ruadha until *he* gets back from Keltaris, which depends on whatsisface getting *there* from Semerkhet. So I definitely have ...

Re: Long Walk to Nowhere
Good deal. This sounds like a decent way to introduce Ruadha.
If you can get to Keltaris, you can meet up with Ruadha there somehow, and we can help each other get back to Marn. Ruadha isn't going to be happy about it, but he is blind, and his assistants and apprentices have a way of disappearing ...

Abandoned threads?
At what point do you call a thread "abandoned", and allow your character to move on?
Let's just say that you've just introduced yourself on a thread that appeared to be fairly active, your character's left with her face in the mud, and all of a sudden, it's like you've walked up to the crowded ...

Re: The Dagger and Wing
I have a possible meeting place, attached to a character I'm currently working on - an apothecary, that happens to be blind. Who better to purchase your spell supplies from or trade contraband magic items through, than someone who couldn't point you out in a crowd? I still have to go through ...

Re: World Terminology
^^ I like this girl.
This is *exactly* what I mean. I'm not asking anyone to reinvent the wheel, I just want cool festival names, and to not use phrases like "I'll see you Wednesday, the Fifth of August" when neither Odin nor Caesar Augustus appeared in TharShaddin history.
Considering that the ...

Re: The Dagger and Wing
Awesome! I'd love to know there's a rogue guild out there of which I'm pointedly not becoming a member.
The fact that they're magic-users makes it even better. Now I have a self-righteous reason as well as a greed reason to not be a member.
I'm not even being sarcastic at all. This is great.

Re: World Terminology
Sounds okay, I suppose.
I think I was thinking along the lines of, this place doesn't have the history *our* earth does, so I assume they wouldn't have, say, a day called Thursday - since Thor isn't a god that they worship. They also wouldn't serve Champagne, as that city doesn't exist.
