Re: Introduce Yourself!

Joe, keep looking, it's totally worth the hassle. Don't you have the canine tracker to find them? It took me forever to find all the trees to bloom... Or you could just look on the internet, the handy dandy cheating guide for everything in the world. Yay! It's kind of funny you mention the eye tatto...

Re: Something Lingers

As much as I'm ready to get down to the action, I hesitate to speed us through, as we can't really deal with Tomas' murder until Camulous and the gang are ready to come back to Shim. However, I will try to come up with something interesting to occupy us in the meantime! :)

Re: Lessons in Backcountry Survival

Seated carelessly on the bare earth hugging her knees, the girl was finally able to spare enough attention to turn her full senses on her savior. The archer was clearly perturbed. She glanced up at the darkened sky briefly--Aramyllis could only assume she was trying to sight the moon and stars in or...

Re: Something Lingers

*winces and tries to hide* I know, I know, I'm awful. I had lotsa work and then I think my brain fried. I had all these good ideas and then I just couldn't get them down. It took me a ridiculous amount of time to post, but it's finally done. Hopefully you don't mind that I didn't speed us straight f...

Re: Something Lingers

Aramyllis, seated on the bed fingering something hidden within her grasp, looked up at Alyson's entrance. The change in the girl was dramatic. Not just had the old smock been switched out, but the smudge of flour that had gone unheeded on one cheek all morning was gone, and her cheeks were suffused ...

Re: Joke pictures thread

I think it makes perfect sense. You creepy Chinese do eat the things, after all, hence if they're big-eyed it's like passive aggressive revenge toward Westerners. But if the cats were all chinq-eyed, it'd be almost like cannibalism of your own people. Almost. What, am I reading too deep into this or...

Re: Aramyllis Dae

Description of Home and Farmstead: At a small, grass-lined turnoff delineated with parallel rows of rocks, the elder girl pulled the younger to a stop and unlaced her arm. "Here we are." A gateway had been built of pale stones, fitted together expertly without even the aid of cement, and yet no fen...

Re: Something Lingers

"Don't be silly." Pushing herself up into sitting position, Aramyllis swung her legs off the mattress and let them dangle against the side of the bed. Her expression was kindly but also stern: what Alyson suggested was nonsense. "I don't know what exactly you experienced living under that man ..." T...

Re: Lessons in Backcountry Survival

Aramyllis did what she could to help the archer to prepare the fire, shuffling about offering promising sticks and fanning the infant fire with her hands and breath. However, her attempt at assistance was more a hindrance than an aid. Her movements were slow and unsteady, and several times she tripp...

Something Lingers

Continued from http://www.tharshaddin.com/rp/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1902 Spring, 122 PW Arm in arm the two girls strode along Main Street, both garbed in simple homespun and squinting against the noonday sun. From afar they appeared to be grimacing comically with elbows entwined. The pair made a rustic...

Re: Alone and Unafraid

The Marnian Captain's quip about the foreigner's colorful armor earned only a fleeting blank look from Aramyllis. Did he just tell a joke? She couldn't miss the quick smile he aimed at Alyson. Her lips pursed and her eyes drew down into a bewildered frown. Napkin folded neatly on the table, she stoo...

Re: Alone and Unafraid

From what I've heard from everyone, it's time to go ahead and split this thread. I was hoping to do so this weekend, but then there was a lot of death in the air and I didn't feel capable of composing a post that wouldn't be morose and overly philosophical. Thus, I'll be sure to get it done this eve...

Re: An Encounter of Wanderers

The starving girl crouched, skinny legs sprawled on the dirt where she still sat, with her back arching over into stooped shoulders. Her arms still trembled with fatigue and the remnants of absolute terror, a terror so cold it froze the blood into ice, so thick it paralyzed the mind and muscles alik...

Re: Joke pictures thread

Apparently that is how one occupies oneself when one lives in Wales. Still, a lot of parts of it made me wonder if some was digitally altered. Otherwise, that's damn amazing. Like, professional shepherdism.

Re: Alone and Unafraid

"Choke on it---? Oh, the gristle. Of course..." Aramyllis' voice trailed off into silence as she realized her mistake. If any of her companions had believed her pitiful cover story before, it was doubtful they would continue to now. The young Shimian had a habit of giving herself away. Face suffused...
