Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

Argh, real life does suck sometimes when it takes away time for much more fun commitments such as rp ;-)

Sorry for being afk for so long, again!!

I'm back and I'll stay back. Jase, you know how to hunt me down, so seriously, the next time I disappear, SHOUT AT ME!! :-)

I wouldn't mind continuing ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

Yeah, guesses could get people killed. That wasn’t something Toast wanted on his conscience, no way. But what could he do? As certain as he usually was of himself, the other gnomes’ work and the sewers in general, he felt completely out of his depths all of the sudden now that magic was at work ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

Toast froze for a moment in almost shocked silence. ’Spell on your conscious mind...’ He was under a spell? Under magical influence? The gnome suddenly felt uncomfortable in a completely different way then he had up until now. Feeling queasy over bodies and about having a battlemage close by was ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

Murder at the Justice Hall? What had he missed this time while he had been buried in maps and the like? The bombs of course had been the talk of the city and Toast couldn’t quite suppress the shudder that rushed down his back when Darrik mentioned them.

“Illusion’s gone for me as well,” Toast ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

Toast took the plans back from the battlemage when she was done with them and stuffed them back into his backpack, making sure they were easily accessible. He was a little surprised at the gesture, having expected that she would keep them – he had made copies after all – but it, surprisingly, made ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

Toast found it an odd question and was glad that he wasn’t the one to have to reply to it. Being a civilian contractor did have its uses from time to time as well even if it wasn’t going to further his reputation and career any if he kept to the background.
Everybody knew that the sewers weren’t ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

‘Married.. tsk!’ Darrik had been seeing things. Honestly. Nothing was further from Toast’s mind than getting married. And yet, somehow he couldn’t help hearing those words in his mind over and over again, nor could he help but feel himself pulled towards the Rusty Wheel again the next day. He ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers 2: Battlemage

My post is in the works, but Corey, if you want to throw something else in before I post, feel free to do so! :)
I'll post sometime during the day tomorrow most likely as I won't manage to finish the post tonight - so... you have a few hours to write if you feel the itch. Or just let me know and I ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers

Toast grinned at Darrik. “You might be right about Pink,” he stated, trying to ignore the feeling of heat rushing to his cheeks. Though at least he could turn this around to his advantage soon enough and tease Darrik about his wish to get cleaned up before. But just before he could speak up and ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers

At first, Toast could only blink and stare at the dwarf, while still trying to gain his breath and at the same time following up on the actual order and running back the way he had just come - again. Freedom finally awaited them and the door slammed shut with a sort of final thud. At least the good ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers

Glad that Darrik accepted his suggestion, Toast nodded frantically and rushed off down the sewer tunnel, heading for the exit in a mad dash, hoping against hope that nothing else was going to happen before they reached the door, and thus the outside. He ignored the splatter of the sewer water, most ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers

When Darrik stopped and motioned for him to do the same, Toast grew nervous. His first instinct was to go hide in a niche or a nearby storeroom but they were in a more deserted area when it came to that sort of thing. In addition, there were two of them and a friggin’ body as well. There was no way ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers

Following Darrik’s glance down to the bodies, the gnome was immensely relieved that the guard had no intention of trying to bag Hyacinth. That would have just been a horrible mess. And though he may not be able to smell it, the thought of having the body start crumbling into pieces under the ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers

Toast could see plenty of sense in walling off a niche, in the gnomish practical way and in his slightly nutty way for finding reasons that made not much sense, but he wasn’t about to contradict the dwarf. Darrik’s mood had gradually seemed to slip downhill and Toast didn’t want to accidentally have ...

Re: Shadows from the Sewers

The way back towards the bodies seemed to stretch, and stretch, and it made Toast feel a little queasy. He hadn’t realised he was a little skittish when it came to bodies until today because it certainly wasn’t the fact of being without daylight and in the sewers, for he was used to such ...
