Re: Introduce Yourself!

Couldn't help but ask... online courses in IT? That perks my interest. God knows how I'll find time for it while I'm rocking two jobs. But if I'm taking courses while doing it, online is gonna be the best bet and similar courses are exactly what I have in mind. What exactly does that process entail ...

Re: Introduce Yourself!

Haha I could, but that requires some non-drunk coherent intelligence lol. Not much of a drinker anyhow. And even if I did want a bottle, the lovely state of Utah limits the sale of hard alcohol to state liquor stores that are always closed by the time I get off work. The only beer supermarkets and ...

Re: Introduce Yourself!

Haha yeah I'm tempted to buy a freakin' stylus pen for the damned thing. My drunken texts to people will never stand a chance of being coherent. That doesn't happen often, but I foresee it at some point lol.

Re: Introduce Yourself!

Haha nice! Wish I could get away with getting online at work lol. I've always worked either restaurants or retail stores. Can on break though, finally have a damned phone that properly displays these kinds of boards without slapping some button smack dab over posts and text or what have you. Now the ...

Re: Holy Christ! (uh...and hello!)

Haha yeah, I took it there lol. My ex used to play that god damned song in the car all the time. I flat-out banned it when we were in my truck.

On a more serious note though, playing a vain narcissistic dwarf could make for some hilarity. Not the direction I want to go with mine, but it'd almost ...

Re: Thorberg Flintlock

Yeah, that's actually a really good point. I think I'm still leaning towards the alcoholism though. Seems to me that most who write base their characters off an aspect of their life. For all intents and purposes characters are, to a slight degree, based off of something about the writer. I suppose ...

Re: Holy Christ! (uh...and hello!)

Haha thats too bad. Dwarves seem real fun to play. But I did notice that as I was trying to browse some other character apps to get some context, there weren't many to be found!

Re: Thorin Flintlock

Hmmm. That's actually a really good idea. He'll drink to deal with his father's death, and to deal with the rift that caused between him and Elgrim, whatever I rename him to lol. But yeah, brewing that on the side would be a nice effect. I was almost leaning towards the stone or gemcutting since ...

Re: Thorin Flintlock

Alright, no prob haha. Who were the other two names? His father and uncle? I knew I was taking Thorin's first name from a major book/motion picture but the others I was drawing a blank on and pulled up a site that listed good dwarvish-sounding names. Actually, no, scratch that. I think the name ...

Re: Someone, please -- send good juju and lurvh my way!

Youch, I feel you on the job layoff dread, having been laid off two god damn winters in a row. Was the nature of the area I just moved from since it relied heavily on tourism during the summer. Jobs aplenty during summer, none for winter. Spent all summer reading the Game of Thrones books and they ...

Re: Holy Christ! (uh...and hello!)

Cool, I don't mind changing anything if I need to. Especially if it impacts anything that would disrupt the layout of the setting. Everyone who took the time to come up with all of this background and history and layout really put some thought into it, and I don't want to be that jackass who comes ...

Re: Thorin Flintlock

Alright, that's not a big deal. Just a hasty screenshot out of convenience lol. I think even though the beard doesn't quite fit the bill, I like this image with him taking to the forge.

Edit - Also realized it sounds a little silly to picture a 10-year-old dwarf crafting weapons and such. Wasn't ...

Re: What's your character's theme tune?

Definitely Misty Mountains Cold from the Hobbit. Walking away from that movie is what inspired me to make a dwarven character somewhere, and that song really stirred me. Yeah, Thorin was named after Thorin Oakenshield because I really loved his presence in this film.

Re: Got Pets? Show them off here!

Aww those are all hella cute pets! Here's my little pain in the ass. She's a weird one, I'm pretty sure she's half husky and some kind of terrier. The craigslist ad I found her in claimed she was half husky and half wolf, and we got her at 6 weeks old so it was hard to prove judging by her pic. I ...
