Eyropa

Map of Eyropa

the empire of Eyropa, a name derived from the ancient Greek word Europe, spans a larger area than the continental equivalent on Earth.

Formed by the changer Theogios just prior to the Changers' War, it is arguably the most modern and prosperous empire on Pal Tahrenor. Theogios succeeded in uniting the varied people of ancient Europe under his banner through a combination of diplomacy and conquest, and this empire's hold on the region was cemented by the people's mutual need for protection and unity during the War.

Eyropa is a primarily human empire, with a significant elven population that has resulted from its proximity to the elven homeland of Darleone Island. Gnomes and dwarves are also common across Eyropa, but are most commonly found in the nornern regions.

The puradynic religion, an anti-magic movement that believes Theogios' final teachings forbade the use of magic as a corrupt and unnatural force, has strong support in the Eastern provinces, however the widespread use of magic is generally accepted in most of Eyropa.

Politics

Eyropa is a single political entity split into provinces. Each province generally has its own form of a Governor, often called a Consul. Provinces are greatly varied in their culture and laws, but none are sovereign. If Eyropa goes to war, all provinces must band together to fight the same battles.
